Had my eye on their Chelsea boot trees (https://trimly.com.au/products/mens-cedar-boot-tree) and finally bit the bullet to get some for my RM William boots. They have a few multi-packs on sale (https://trimly.com.au/collections/sale/products/the-aussie-g…) but the popular sizes seem to be selling out fast.

Hopefully they're as good as some say they are: https://dagdstyle.com/2017/05/20/finally-shoe-trees-for-aust…

For those who haven't heard of Trimly,

Trimly is Australia's premium shoe tree provider and online shoe care specialist. James started Trimly back in 2016 because he couldn't find a decent pair of shoe trees either in store or online. Since then Trimly has grown rapidly and our shoe trees are sold around the world. Our line of shoe trees are crafted to the highest standards with a 'no compromises' approach to quality. We're also proud to offer Japan's premium shoe care range, Boot Black, who have buffed their products to a fine art. Our aim is to offer our customers with the highest quality products that will extend the life of their shoes, increase their comfort and keep them looking new for longer.

Update: they've lowered the free shipping threshold from $70 to $50, so orders $50 or more gets free shipping.

  • Thanks OP

    • Quick note, i missed the stretchers so went back and asked them and they were OK for me to add one and combine shipping, quick answer, all good and they combined shipping for the addition to my order!

  • Unfortunately the multi-pack you linked was already sold out in my size but I grabbed the full-back one instead (3 for $72, laughing!), which should keep me in business for long enough. Thanks for posting this!

    I might leave this here

Basically these are likely to be just overpriced eBay shoe trees for a significant markup.

    • You are entitled to agree with someone's opinion on a forum; someone who has never even bought a pair of these shoe trees; however, I've got a little bit of insight into these shoe trees and I can give you some truth. Firstly, the manufacture of these shoe trees is the same one who makes them for Church, Allen & Edmond, Loakes and several other Northampton shoemakers. It took Trimly months to convince this manufacturer to make for them, given their smaller size. Trimly uses the heartwood in the cedar, which is the middle of the wood and is the premium part and contains all the cedar oil. Quality-wise, you get what you pay for and eBay shoe trees are often made by smaller manufacturers in China whose quality is questionable and often times use cheaper wood to cedar (but spraying cedar oil on the trees and marketing them as cedar). Simply put, the quality of Trimly shoe trees is of premium standard and they are much cheap than shoe trees of similar quality.

I’ve purchased both eBay and these trimly trees and the difference is chalk and cheese.

The eBay ones are not Cedar. Muji are an alternative but they don’t do Chelsea boot style.

These trimly ones are great. After a fresh sand - they are so aromatic and absorb all the stinkiness:)
