wonder if you can hack it and load up your own nes games

    • -1

Don't think it would be too hard. Probably just running Android and some emulator or something.

      • +2

Not running Android at that price. With no data plugs you'd be soldering something .

      • Yeah, seems to be running one of those lightweight emulators that run on.linux

  • The handheld TV game is $7.81. Where did u see it for 2$?

    • +1

      did you use the code?

    • Confirmed working with the code. Just bought one for $2.

  • +2

on the one hand i want to buy more random crap, on the other hand the stuff i bought start of april from you guys arrived in australia 2 days after buying but still havent arrived and tracking havent changed since arriving in australia…

  • +1

Fingers crossed Tetris is one of the included games.

    • Don't recall that it is, but I'll try to find mine and confirm later tonight when I head home.

      • home yet?

  • how to use rosegal points to pay ?

    • +1

can't use points with a coupon

  • +2

that console looks worth a punt for $2 BUT, it says NTSC only. Will this work on the AU PAL tv system, or will modern TV's do both?

    • +3

      Modern TVs support both standards.

    • +2

      i don't think video-in matters ?

    • -8

PAL and NTSC is for games to work on consoles. It's got nothing to do with consoles linking with TV's.

    • Works, but the visuals are absolute shoite on modern sets, ghosting eeeeverywhere.

  • If only it supported wireless and Bluetooth and a additional memory slot!!!

    • nokia n-gage

Some random nes games for $2 is pretty cool

Or free on your phone without over a month for shipping…

Anyone had experience with the sonoff products? Wouldn't mind integrating some smart switches in my HA setup, but I'm a bit dubious about products from random Chinese sites.

    • eu plug

    • Good value

    • what are they? how do they even work?

why mine never looks perfect like that ?

      • all depends on your hip movements!

        • There are other things at play too.

    • +3

      Don't buy it, it's shit

  • +3

I found the product on Aliexpress which has a picture of the games included: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/FORNORM-8-Bit-Mini-Video-Gam…

I can see some of the games have been doubled up though (Circus Charlie, Road Fighter). But if it contains some of those other games, it's a good buy. I particularly loved The Legend of Kage growing up.

    • Thanks! I was looking for something like this earlier but could only find sites with a handful of images. Looks like it's got 'Tetris 2' so assuming that's still a fairly plain, basic Tetris then I'm a happy chappy :)

    • Angry Birds was my favourite NES game

      • It was definitely ahead of its time and quite frankly I'm glad they finally got the recognition they deserved in 2009/2010.

    • Says it has 4 functions, but what on earth is "Car gifts"?

  • I'm not much of a retro gamer but $2 is $2

Just a warning about the forehead thermometer. I bought a fancy Braun one that sells for around $100 (got it cheaper off Amazon) thinking it'd be super handy and accurate. At the same time the hospital gave me a cheap under tongue digital one. Felt a bit rubbish - Braun said I was fine, but the under tongue said I was dangerously sick (having cancer treatment at the time). Went to hospital and was admitted straight away and there for 3 days. Cheap under tongue measured the same as the hospital thermometer. I could have died if I relied on that stupid dangerous forehead thermometer - and that was an expensive one!

(I got a full refund from Amazon and didn't have to send it back, but they still sell the stupid things despite numerous people giving feedback that they're dangerous.

If you need accuracy, get an under tongue one and ask your GP if you can check it with theirs to see how accurate it is.

Thanks for the feedback. I was about to buy one but will resist my temptation now.

      • A brand name under tongue digital one is only about $7 anyway. The only drawback is they’re slower - about a minute.

Love the idea of the small console. But why did they put a laser pointer in it?!?

Little kids and laser pointers shouldn’t mix.

    • +3

Who said it was for little kids? It's for adults with disposable income who also want to entertain their cats.

      • "Built-in laser lamps, best gift for your kids and children"

        • Let's just agree that it's not a good idea to give it to your young goats. They don't even have fingers.

  • Note: Limit of 1 per order (I tried to order the SONOFF BASIC Dual Channel WiFi Wireless Smart Switch for DIY Home Safety)

    • Or maybe try "Limit of 0" if you really want home safety from something that you're plugging into the mains that hasn't been tested to any electrical standard. Interesting review of these units from the inimitable AvE - https://youtu.be/yCkwXKRRHHs

  • “Built-in laser lamps, best gift for your kids and children”

    Gotta love Chingrish.

I got one for 3 or 4 bucks off eBay a while back.

Controls are surprisingly good, joystick spins a little though, which you'll understand when using it, hard to describe but it doesn't hinder gameplay.

Can't remember most of the games, but the ones I played ran full speed and all that, super Mario is on there and I think donkey Kong and that's good enough for me.

Video quality is ass though, ghosts like crazy and looks like shit tbh, AV cables in 2018 should be illegal.

Lazer pointer is actually the best part, well that and it being a Nintendo console themed like Sonic the hedgehog. Pointer is proper bright in the dark and sure to entertain your two year old for half an hour as well.

the game thing is sold out

  • I don't know, the site looks dodgy. I am unable to remove shipping insurance from my order. The check box is cleared but insurance is still there.

  • Anyone know how long does the AAA battery last? Can you finish a whole game on one battery, for example?

  • The Sonoff wifi plug is EURO does this mean my only option is to get two adapter's aswell?

  • The SONOFF baisc unit picture doesn't line up with the description, plus it gives
"Sorry, this coupon code cannot be used with the promotion."

when I enter the code. Yes I'm logged in.

  • Please release more of the games consoles OP!

    • +1

Will bring the deal back, when more stock is available.

  • +1

Change the color to red from blue and you can still get it for $2, Blue if out of stock.
    EDIT: Mobile only

  • OP, can you confirm with the store whether the SONOFF basic is the one pictured on their (that is not dual channel WiFi), or the 'SONOFF BASIC Dual Channel WiFi' that is different to the pictures? They are different products.

  • Anyone know how long this store usually takes?

    • have you received yours yet ?

      mine still not in sight

      • Yeah I got two, they turned up about 10 days ago

      • Yep, got mine too… and got my moneys worth many times over since receiving it :)

  • Received the completely wrong item from rosegal, not impressed.
