Zafarelli Bucatini Pasta No 9 500g
Zafarelli Penne Rigati Pasta No 18 500g
probably the worst brand i know. it's best to take a passata on this one.
Use some common cents and go and buy some to check.
Personally I don't know how you could go pasta it. Any risoni why it is so bad?
Crap, last time I used it, it was all gluggy and fell apart really easy.
San Remo is better on the cheap end.
NO, Made in Australia, most likely S/Remo, almost ACCC the way they show Italy yet made he, poorly
Wh…at?
I eat thee, San Remee.
Price, good ok, quality.
ASIC me see, eatee linguine.
It's horrible
What do you call a piece of pasta that has no friends?
Cannelonely.
What do yo all a religious pasta with a Brazilian?
Angel hair.
I've tried this brand before and it's nothing special.
I usually buy the ALDI pasta for ~60c.
What's the best brand of pasta?
Barilla
+1. They are the best.
I wish they could just extra soluble fiber
Their pasta is great. But I wish they could just stop being douchebags towards homosexuals. Google "barilla gay" for more info.
Looks like they patched that up a while ago

Barilla is $1.50 at Woolworth's till Wednesday. Time to stock up.
The 2 best are Garofalo and De Cecco. No comparison.
100%
+1 for Garofalo. Their capellini is awesome with a chilli chorizo tomato based sauce
I'm Italian & think Garofalo is the best
Where do you buy them from?
@JB1: Don't know.
Barilla is easily one of the worst brands out there, at least for the price. It holds ok tho, without breaking.
Ingredients aside, good quality depends on two factors:
They both require time, hence $$$.
Decent benchmark? Molisana, Garofalo, gold selection at wollies…
What's the best brand of pasta?
I want to know it too. Aren't they all made from durum wheat? Hence, the nutritious level should, roughly speaking, be the same?
It's like saying all olive oils come from olives
So some olive oil doesn't come from olives? Do tell…
@khrome: you’ll need to do your homework on your own
@khrome: then where does baby oil come from?
@pennypincher98: corn oil from corm, sun flower oil from sun flowers, baby oil come from ….. yer kids these day have kids too early
There's a San Remo "egg pasta" range which tastes better but runs at about $2 a pack. It tastes a bit better and is usually worth the extra cost. I like the tagliatelle, but the pack only weighs 250grams so it's quite expensive from a price per gram perspective.
$60 cents @ ALDI (ALDI brand) every day
$60 cents.
That doesn't sound like a very good bargain.
typo $ 0.6 / 60 cents
60 cents divided by 60 cents?
!BARGAIN!
I've found the Aldi pasta to be terrible, at minimum it is only better than the Coles home brand.
I ignore the spin/gimmicks, and feel that’s the case with everything aldi.
Their coffee pods are best bang for buck around. I feel ‘meh’ about everything else in there. But buy that stuff to support competition.
Yay! Number 6 size is my favourite.
Insert childish innuendo joke starting with "she" here..
She said size 8" was her favourite.
Too wide!
I don't have anything against this brand of pasta. I just can't understand how they can put the Italian flag on the packaging and use Australian flour.
Australian flour.
So they are the same in nutritious values?
No 9 FTW
Dunno why people are so down on Zafarelli, I've always thought it was good, always jumped on it when on sale (not that it's exey for rrp).
Some people also eat spaghetti out of a can. It's a strange world.
Any gluten free ?
meh this is regularly half price
Sure is, time to stock up until the next time.
This brand any good? Penne for your thoughts
