Is DigiDirect local stock or import from China/Japan? I want AUS power cord, warranty etc.
They are an Australian retailer.
All their stock are Australian stock from legit local distributors. They have a few physical stores throughout australia
Thanks I ended up finding what I wanted for cheaper from videopro thanks to the 20% off.
As said above, they're local. I've bought from them before.
Any suggestions for the father-in-law who is after a "good" camera to take on an upcoming overseas holiday, budget probably up to $450??
A few I've been considering for him include the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II, Olympus Tough TG-5, Canon EOS M100.
caon eos 1300d kit.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/377865I would suggest the canon powershot. Great image quality plus small footprint. Also has enough manual controls
I'm in the market for a mirrorless camera. Does anyone have any advice regarding which one to get between Canon M6, Sony Alpha A6000, Fujifilm XT-20 and Olympus MKII? I don't care about video…
I've owned 2 a6000's.
1st one: flash stopped working properly and had a dirty sensor (that costs $150 to get cleaned), so I sold it as fault on ebay and bought another one (there was a good deal at the time for the body + cashbacks, end result $400 for the body).
2nd one: this part broke : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-Alpha-a6000-Mirrorless-Battery…. It has been taped on and held together but it's going to go on ebay as a faulty one very soon too.
So now I'm in the market for a camera too:
I'm also undecided on what to do… get a third one? or try something new… From an image quality, and features perspective - $ per value ratio is unbeatable. It's just flimsy and would not recommend to others.
I'm thinking MK2 Olympus or Fujifilm for me… Some really nice fast lenses to choose from.
I have had the a6000 for several years, bought extended warranty and never had to use the warranty even though I used the camera a lot! Great little camera, but its a few years old now, I wouldn't normally pay $600 for old tech. Unfortunately, Sony is so far ahead of the others in tech that it is still an excellent value camera!
X100F not included either.
I need a Nikon D750 between now and EOFY.
Yes, I'm aware this model is on the way out but it's a required purchase.
They're going for $2039. Grey import would be $1800 (normally ~$1600, they seem to have jumped up significantly in the last week or two).
Buy the AU model now or will there be something notably better EOFY?
Nikon is doing cashbacks to clear them out at the moment. The d850 isn't getting much attention in-terms of that.
combine this with the current Fujifilm cashback promotion to get some pretty good prices, e.g. Fujifilm X-Pro2 for $1650 https://www.digidirect.com.au/cameras/cscmirrorless_cameras/…
