They've got the Mccain Rustica range for half price currently which I highly recommend stocking up on rather than Dr Oetkers. YMMV.

    • Vegetarian only right?

      • +1

At least that I've seen, but the Mozarella one was ace.

        • Get some cheap bacon or chicken (depending on the weekly special), fry it a little (it will cook more in the oven) then chuck on top. Damn it's tasty, and low KJ compared to Domino's/PH pizzas.

        • @AstroPhysic:

Dr pizzas have lots of high quality toppings, but Rustica have better bases.

Both pretty good for less than $4. Thanks ozb. I hadn't considered frozen pizza before. Better than $5 Dominoes imo.

    • You tried McCain Takeway homie?

Usually … $10 (I forget maybe less) but special is commonly $6 or less common 2 for $10. Have neevr seen nationwide specials it's always per store.

I think it's the best frozen pizza.

Dr Oetker - restaurant (that) tastes suprisingly from your freezer

    yay again!!

    Oh my poor waistline

The pizza that divides OzB. Time to stock up.

  • Im always curious as to why people buy these over a value range Dominos for $5 (obviously this you keep in your freezer) but how about taste/quality?

    • Surely this is better than most Dominos pizzas…

      • Not better than the $7 prawn and garlic you can get by their 'make a pizza' + 24/7 coupon.

        • More details?

        • @Turd: Traditional pizza (your favourite toppings), swap out a couple expensive toppings you don't like for prawn and garlic, get it for like $6.50-$8.

Vegorama is a great one. Take out red onion and their disgusting fetta and put it on at home. Then just add prawn and garlic sauce.

      • No, it really isn't.

    • +2

I'd prefer the value range Domino's, but the convenience of not having to go out to get it beats the slight preference.

For frozen, I like the Dr Oetker's Pizza Mozzarella. Or the Dolce Al Cioccolato.

      • Ok I have not seen the Dolce pizza. Now I will have to hunt it down.

    • +2

But it's tastier than dominos budget range in my opinion and sitting right in your freezer whenever you need it :)
Also try getting a dominos pizza delivered for under $4, you can throw a bunch of these in your freezer and they'll last week's, hopefully ;)

    • Delivery fees. A dominos pizza is also around a similar size but packed with way more calories, 1200ish per pizza. These on the other hand are sized in a reasonable portion for the average adult and clock in around 750-900. Also cheaper on sale.

      • Fair enough, each to their own. Personally these just taste like regular, if slightly better cardboard frozen pizzas. But what can you expect for the price. They pale in significance in taste, freshness and size to a value range dominos imo.

        • Wouldn't argue with that, but when I order a dominos I also find myself unable to not eat it all in one go lol. It's a way of stopping myself from accidently eating too much. For frozen pizzas the Oetker and Rustica are amazing, not as good as fresh of course.

I just wish restaurants would do "personal pizzas". Pizza Hut does those IIRC, used to get them a lot when I lived around the corner from one.

4 cheese and spinach one are the best

    • Pepperoni and Spinach are my two favourites.

      • This is the only way my kids will eat spinach.

Y'all need to try McCain Takeaway!

  • +1

We love em. Best frozen pizzas around.

  • How does this compare to your local corner pizza store?

    • +4

Your local store is nice and close, but Dr Oetker lives in your freezer, in your kitchen, inside your house.

  • +1

These are okay but as previously noted the mccains sourdough are a bit nicer (for me anyways).

And as noted on special atm.

    Bought 5 of McCain’s.

    • where's this deal again pls?

The Spinach one is so damn good.
