Anyone Use a LED Face Mask with Results

Hi I've been reading about project E beauty LED face mask and the reviews on Amazon seem promising but I'm still skeptical. Has anyone tried it with results?

If your skepticism can be annulled by anonymous analogies and testimonies, your skepticism is wasted.

This is for people who are dumb as paint.

Looks like a cool mask for halloween.

When I saw the masks, I was as sceptical as the others. However, reviews seem to be positive and it looks like something found in chemists. Most of the results seem to be with acne issues

    As for research,

Light therapy by blue LED improves wound healing in an excision model in rats:

Circular excision wounds were surgically created on the dorsum of each rat. Excisions on either the left or right side were illuminated post-OP and on five consecutive days for 10 min by LED at 470 nm or 630 nm with an intensity of 50 mW/cm2, while protecting the contralateral side from exposure.

Illumination substantially influenced wound healing. Blue light significantly decreased wound size on day 7, which correlated with enhanced epithelialisation. Light also affected mRNA expression. Both wavelengths decreased keratin-1 mRNA on day 7 post-OP, while keratin-10 mRNA level was elevated in both light treated group compared to control. Keratin-17 mRNA was also elevated in the red light group, but was unchanged in the blue light group.

In contrast to previous studies, we showed that also blue light significantly influences wound healing. Furthermore, our data suggest that light therapy can play an important role in normotrophic wound healing by affecting keratin expression. Illumination would provide an easily applicable, safe and cost-effective treatment of surface wounds.

    and another

Efficacy and Tolerability of a Combined 445nm and 630nm Over-the-counter Light Therapy Mask with and without Topical Salicylic Acid versus Topical Benzoyl Peroxide for the Treatment of Mild-to-moderate Acne Vulgaris:

Conclusion: 445nm/630nm light therapy mask appears to be a safe and effective therapy for mild-to-moderate acne.

So acne yes, the rest of the promises probably best to be sceptical of.

  • Coming to a TV Shopping channel near you!

  • As has been mentioned the Neutrogena one is good and much cheaper, plus you can easily hack it with a single solder so that it has unlimited uses like I did for the other half. Though the blue LED's stopped working after only a couple months leaving it only with red..

My sister owns a beauty salon, so I know that the proper high end commercial LED therapy equipment starts from 5K+. when I see these home products for a few hundred dollars, I tend to immediately think of it as overpriced fairylights~ but thats just my opinion
