Over saw drillers or planned the holes of >100 in coal exploration on the surface and around 40 underground.
Why do you think it relevant to state your gender?
Mining industry is male dominated (underground mine had 100 men and max 2 females at any time). Thought it would be of some interest to other females looking at getting into mining.
What is your favourite rock.
Gneiss or schist - nothing beats a good metamorphic rock!

Worked a few years in coal, then spent the rest of the time in gold, silver and copper mines.
What % of lithium and cobalt miners do you think will make it from explorer to producer? Everyday there's an explorer pegging ground for lithium or cobalt
How did you get into geology and were your worried about career prospects when you started studying this?
I like volcanoes and wanted to study them at Uni. Luckily enough I graduated in a boom time which has set me up for times like now in the downturn where I have enough knowledge to be kept on the payroll. At the time I wasn’t thinking about jobs (yeah naïve and young) but more I had found something I enjoyed studying.

I heard there were oil wells that were abandoned as they thought the oil was exhausted, but they have gone back and discovered they have filled up with more oil. Have you heard about any such phenomenon?
