Its a Trap, the Buy One Get One Free is rumored to be next week

    • should be Wednesday

    • Omfg been waiting for this

    • It was that good of a deal last year that I actually put it into my calender for this year (15th May) to remind myself in case they repeat it. Eyes peeled for that deal.

    • +1

      Was that for any movie?

    • i was waiting for the 20% to buy a couple of movies, but if that deal is true i should probably wait. How much certainty is there for it to happen?

      • +1

Let me put it another way - if no two-for-one sale happens, you will just need to wait for another 20% sale and you will be no worse off.

        • +1

yeah, good point and they come around nearly monthly anyway. I guess i can wait

    • I was waiting for a 20% off sale to get some recent 4K releases, but now you have me worried. I bought them anyway, and will keep them sealed to see if it comes true, and return them for change of mind if necessary.

Amazon Prime Video US has 4K, but you need all your planets lined up in a row to ensure that you get it…. No dodgey super cheap HDMI cables would be a good start…

    • Anyone know of any local service that have offline 4k plus Atmos download, so you can download in advance, watch on home Cinema gear, full bandwidth, no dropouts? I hate streaming.

      • Mobe1969

I am the same as you, also physical media still has a lot of advantages, the bitrate is way higher then any streaming service and has better audio.

Atmos isn’t available on any streaming service afaik not even truehd etc

    • My netflix 4k works fine. Why do you need a HDMI cable? Isn't it running direct from your TV app?

      • Still DD5.1?

  • +2

Oh come. On. Just bought some this afternoon.

    • +1

I know that feeling. It sucks and even worse when it's like one day before.

    • I hear they are pretty good with letting you return them and buy at the new price

Does someone have a spare stack code?
    Please message me.
    Thank you very much!

  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 4K for $24 looks good. Hope Amazon match these prices.

Watched the movie on Netflix the other day… I still can't get in to Guardians.

If you're looking to get the 4K versions of Batman Begins, Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises as a trilogy, Amazon AU has dropped their prices to match JB while still having the BOGOF deal. So you can buy all 3 plus one of Nolan's other movies (Inception, Prestige, Interstellar) for $39.96 delivered. Or get all 6 on 4K for $59.94 delivered. Just go here (https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/promotion/A34MTL7525DYU) and type 'nolan' in the 'search in the promotion' box.

It's good to see that Amazon AU responds quickly to price drops - Batman Begins 4K was $29 earlier this week. Glad I waited.

    • or search for 4K

    • Damn, that is a fantastic deal. JBHIFI is selling the 7 nolan 4k movies in a boxset for $150 after a 20% discount.

    • Awesome deal cheers.

    • Thanks for the heads up! I picked up 6 Nolan movies in 4K for $60. What an amazing deal!

  • shattered bought online yesterday. jb wouldn't refund me the difference when i pick up in store would they??

    • Apparently staff will sometimes allow you to return and but again at the lower price. You may as well ask.

  • With blu-ray and 4K, why does DVD even still exist?

    • +2

cos some ppl dont care bout quality and just want the cheapest ?

  • I was looking at buying a movie the other day, I was thinking I wait till the 20% off blurays, got home checked ozbargain yesterday. What do you know next day 20%, great timing I thought. Bought it first thing this morning.
And now I hear about buy on get one free……..

    • If you haven't opened it yet, JB Hi Fi allow up to 90 days to return media even for change of mind. It's in their warranty, refunds and returns PDS.
