Longsword is now free to play. We also are giving every Founder's Pack owner a "faction" token. You have to log into the game to get it. Give this token to a free-play friend and they can get a full set of that faction's cards.

From what I read, it seems like the game is funded by Microtransactions for new playable factions. The concept of the game interests me, and the graphics are good for an Independent game.
Yep, game is now free to play though, with the option of purchasing the Founder's Pack.
I was, stupidly and fruitlessly, looking to claim the faction token for 10 minutes this morning, before I realised the Founder's Pack is an additional purchase. Hence the FYI.
