Dunlopillo Premium Therapillo - $79.95 (RRP $179.95) @ Harris Scarfe

190

Have been looking around for a decent memory foam or latex pillow after the Mrs stole mine many years ago.
Have tried all sorts of pillows including a buckwheat hull pillow but have failed to find one that really does the job.

Am going to try the dunlopillo

Myer lists them at full RRP, harvey norman doesn't have the therapillo

  • Dunlopillo classic for 8yrs for me. Perfect!

    • What do you find is good about them? I’ve never used one and am hesitant about the cost, so was wondering if they’re worth the outlay?

I find the classic is just the right thickness and softness. Its lasted 8yrs and still feels as soft and same shape as day 1. I was buying heaps of cheap shit pillows that seemed to last weeks before feeling lumpy. I paid 60 for mine years ago. When I met my wife she had them so I got to try before I bought. Although she probably has the high profile/medium feel ones. Theyre just a touch thicker than my classics. If I'm camping on a camping mat I prefer the thicker one, but in bed I prefer the classic. Probably coz I sink in bed more than my camping mats.

        • Thanks heaps for the review. I’ll try and grab one. Cheers :)

After many years of memory foam I’m back to a latex one for the last 2 years, just doesn’t wear out as easily as memory foam.
My wife still loves memory foam and hates latex pillows.
Daughter uses duck down and hates memory or latex pillows.
Guess you gotta try them all till you get the right fit #FirstWorldPillows

Is this the pillow the Bare Foot Investor recommends?

  • Great price - I've had a few Dunlopillos for nearly 10 years and still going strong, will get a couple more - thanks OP!

The memory foam pillows are amazing, haven't woken up with a sore neck or tossed and turned mid sleep since I got them

    • I know sounds like something from the shopping channel, but I'm the same, I had a sore neck most days for over 5yrs. The missus grabbed some $50 ones from HS too. It took a few days, but it went away and I rarely get a neck ache these days and never in the morning.

The last few holidays we've been on we've either taken our pillows or found a HS and bought a pair. I'm sure they only cost $5-10 to make. But they really are awesome.

The one we bought on chissy hols is this $45 one. I've no idea wat the gel does, but we slept on them for nearly a month & they were great.

  • i always have weird dreams with these.

    • As opposed to 'normal' dreams or no dreams?

      • Or wet

  • Does someone know if these are very firm?

  • +1

Just had a nap on the dunlopillo - in regards to how firm - it's medium.
The wife ended up with a Denton's classic ( http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/bed%2cbath-%26-home-decor/bed… ). Also on sale.
Denton's classic is a much softer pillow from our testing.

  • but how often are we supposed to replace these pillows for health?

    • *science

  • Thanks, just bought one from in store at Highpoint VIC. I asked when the sale on them ends, and they said Sunday (17/6). Cheers.
