      Thanks for letting us know.

    • That's So Nutorious!!!

  • How do they compare to Costco prices?

    • +3

Costco is cheaper for almonds, pistachios and walnuts. Not for cashews.

      • Not for cashews.

        That's deliberate though…

        • How so?

      • really - how much are they at Costco for?

      • Costco cheaper for pistachios??

      • What is Costco price for almonds?

        • +4

I picked up a 1.36KG bag of Almonds from Costco for $14.99 yesterday.

1.36KG bag of walnuts was $16.99.

Costco nuts are also better quality than Aldi/Woolies/Coles.

        • +1

@deathjr: $21.99 pistachios per kg. I think this is cheaper than costco at the moment

        • +1

          @deathjr:

Thanks for the tip. I went to Ringwood costco today and the walnuts were $20, not $17 :(

  • Salted or unsalted?

    • My wife likes salty nuts, but I'm not a fan.

      • +2

        I'm a fan.

        • +3

You may need to fight his wife on the salty nuts then.

Each could get one I guess 😂

      • Does it hurt when you put salt on them?

  • +1

almost same as woolworths special prices

    • Got a reference to pistachios on special? I checked on Pricehipster and didn't find anything that came close to this deal.

      • +2

        It'd been cheaper last year.

  • +3

Thanks for the heads up. The pistachios are always very nice :-)

    • +1

    where the macadamias at

    • Yeah man. I've been waiting for a good macadamia deal for ages.

  • Arent the pistachios normally $9.99 or is that for a smaller bag?

    • I think $10 for 400g at Woolies normally

    • That's a 600g bag.

      • Will check it at WWS.

      • +1

Just bought one yesterday. It has been jacked to $11.99 for 600g

  • +1

    Au or imported?

    • Zoomed image shows “Australian Pistachio” with Aus flag. However they could just be roasted here snd imported from who knows where.

      The others most likely imported.

  • What kind of nuts are always SNEEZING?
    CASHEWS!

    • Let's call it a day

      • +1

        It was already called that!

    • Gesundheit!

  • +1

Has anyone got the rest of the catalogue?

  • Whatcha gunna do with all of deez nuts?

  • Just in time for Ramadan again

  • +2

Almonds are cheaper at woolies starting tomorrow

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/375766

  • I think this is the normal price at Aldi.. Isn't 750gm bag for $10?

  • Almonds are/were $9.70 for a 750g bag at Aldi. Bought them twice at that price over the last 6 months, wonder if they got rid of that one. I'll pass this time.

Cashews look good. 250g bags are normally $4.50 at Aldi so $18/kg. This is $19 for 1.2kg so $15.83/kg.

I wish Aldi sold Almond Butter. Costco membership isn't worth it just for their 800g (900g?) jars for $8.80.

    • But were the almonds dry roasted?
I'm I bought the natural ones 750g for under $9 from ALDI.

      • +1

Natural. Is there a difference in taste?

I read that unsaturated fats (which nuts have plenty of) oxidise easily under high temperatures, so out of fear of that I've started only buying raw unsalted nuts.

        • Most nuts are heat treated prior to sale anyway, from what I could find I don't believe there's any "significant" nutritional difference, just that the raw ones digest more slowly

  • Not even cheap.

  • What is the best way to store the nuts to keep them fresh?

    • An air tight container.

      • Plastic/glass?

        • I like to keep my nuts in a glass jar.

    • In your belly.

  • +1

Does anyone know where I can get macadamia nuts cheap? Sick of paying $18 for 400 grams :(

  • how is the quality of pistas compared to costco?

    • not sure vs cotsco but vs any other super market packaged they are much better imo. only ones i buy to be honest (aldi pack), i did buy the packs from woolies n coles but find they are nowhere near as good.

  • +2

That's a decent price for cashews

  • +1

Got 3 packs of the 1.5kg pistachios :) thanks!
Damn these things are normally so expensive that I almost think I should eat the shells too

    • Isn't it a 1kg pack?

      • Ah yes. Still cheaper haha.
