Looks like this one is a better deal. i7 vs i5 Processor, 512GB vs 256GB SSD, 8GB vs 16GB RAM
This one can't be used as a tablet like the Lenovo can though, if that's important to you
How do you use it as a 2-in-1?
Do you fold the keyboard all the way back and use it as a very thick, large, and heavy tablet? I don't like that at all. And you're grabbing it by the keys.
Or in tent mode?
Can use Yoga both as a tent and tablet, by folding back the keyboard, the keys de activate automatically. Pretty useless feature for me. I don't even like to touch my touch screen.
@laser: I don't think the keyboard side makes for good grip. It doesn't feel right if you're pressing keys while holding it.
It's just too big and unwieldy as a tablet. 2 in 1 only makes sense if it detaches from the keyboard.
I don't understand the 40% off bit.. Please explain..
standard online price is $2,399 - so this is 40% off which is a saving of ~$960
Yep, just figured that one out.. Thanks for the clarification.. :D
40% off is already applied to the $1439 price.
It's originally $2399 less 40% so now $1439
It reads like it's $960 overall tho, I was confused at first.thanks, i'll edit
tbh at that price it should probably include a DGPU
512GB Solid State Drive
Can anyone confirm if these are NVMe?
Can confirm… From the product detail:
"Revolutionary responsiveness: With 256GB SSD standard and an optional 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, the Inspiron 13 7000 features lightning-fast responsiveness, making everything you do faster, smoother, and easier."Actuall, that doesn't paint the whole picture.. I'll change my "Can confirm" to: "Should be"
But can I play Overwatch on it?
Does this have thunderbolt 3 for external GPU?
Doesnt look like it does. Deal breaker for me.
I'm keen to hear an informed opinion on this laptop Vs the Lenovo Yoga 920 2in1 that was advertised today at a similar price (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/374899). On face value this one seems like the better deal - but I'm no expert.
