I’m looking at buying some bright bike lights off eBay or Ali express for some night MTB riding.
Apparently thes lights are quite good but I’m a little hesitant to buy the ones that come with a battery pack and charger.
Can anyone suggest a safe battery pack and charger for these lights?
My thoughts were some sort of DIY Eneloop kit?
Or should I just buy the light with charger and battery and hope it doesn’t burn the house down?

Most, if not all of the decent bike lights for night riding use 18650's or something other than your usual AA/AAAs.
Check http://forums.mtbr.com/lights-night-riding/ which is a good source for what Chinese bike lights are actually good. A lot of them clearly overstate their brightness by some margin. Some also have questionable build quality. Plenty of information on this forum to help you make a good decision.
Personally, I use an Ituo Wiz20 which is all-in-one unit that uses 2x 18650s and is plenty bright.
If you are going to say 'these lights' or should I buy these lights….at least give us a link to see them.
Sorry won't let me post an ebay link.
Are there any available that just take standard AA size batteries? Then you could just use eneloops instead of needing to make a "diy eneloop kit".
