  • eBay had the 20% PURSE code last week. $239 including delivery. The only thing was they were sold by individual sellers so this deal might be "safer".

    • Got mine through On Sport with this $239 deal and it arrived yesterday (Express postage was included). Pretty happy so far.

      • Nice, early thoughts on it??

        • +2

Screen is great! The little bezel down the bottom doesn't irritate me as much as I thought it would.
Build feels pretty solid, but literally every Fitbit I've ever had has fallen apart in one way or another, so I'll hold my judgement on this

Notifications interface isn't bad (on Android at least), but actions are a bit limited compared to the Pebble I had in the past.

Overall it looks and feels pretty nice, but I really need another week to see how it goes

        • @noisymime: Sounds like its pretty decent so far ! Ive got the Samsung Gear fit 2 Pro and the HR sensor works intermittently but battery life of 3 days and notifications work well. Just wish this was out at the time…

        • +1

          @noisymime: cheers :-)

The missus wanted one, me I’m still clinging to Pebble Time :-)

        • +1

@mochariffic: Yeah I'm kind of clinging to my Pebble Time Steel, but it's not a brilliant fitness watch considering Pebble casing + sweat = grey wrists.

      • I just wished you could reply on the watch for iPhone users.

  • Brilliant! Thanks OP!
I held out on hope we’d get a shop code for the Versa.
Ozbargain has come through once again..

  • Keen to get this one. Anymore reviews? Tossing between Garmin Vivoactive 3 and this one. Obviously this one is cheaper but just wondering how good is the battery life and user experiences.

    • ads on TV say 4 days for battery.

    • If you are after battery you might consider the amazefit Stratos. Claims 5-11 days depending on use (GPS on or off mainly) and user reports that these are accurate claims. I had the amazefit pace (previous version, basically identical in a different case) and couldn't fault it, a week of battery was attainable with my use. Sadly it was murdered but a rogue USB charger. I've since ordered the Stratos.

Honestly, transreflective screens are the shiz for smart watches. The more light that shines on them the more visible they become.

      • But how does it go interacting with things like responding to messages in Android?

        • +1

Probably poorly if at all, but I would apply that to every smartwatch. Attempting to reply to any sort of message on a ~1 inch screen seems like a terrible thing to attempt.

        • @CyberGenesys:

Not so much trying to use a keyboard but moreauto reply or microphone to dictate a response

      • The Stratos appears to have a poor interface, viewing angles and no NFC?
        https://www.techradar.com/reviews/amazfit-stratos

        • I can't personally comment on the Stratos as mine hasn't arrived yet, however usability and interface is highly subjective. In my experience with the Pace (mostly same interface), I would disagree with their opinion.

I don't consider viewing angle to even be a factor when choosing a smart watch. When I look at my watch I view it at 90degrees to the watch face +/- 10degrees.

Lack of NFC will be a factor for some.

    • Michael Fisher (MrMobile) did a pretty good review on YouTube.

  • This or TomTom Adventurer? Though, my TomTom adventure from the recent deal is already on the way but I am bit worried after reading https://www.wareable.com/wearable-tech/tomtom-leaving-wearab…

    • +1

I would have jumped on that Adventurer except for that. TomTom should release a standalone program that allows you to export standard format files, but they won't - instead users will be stuck in TomTom unmaintained online services purgatory.

      • Cool. I will try to find out more on both products. Thanks.

  • good news, but wonder why the pink one couldn't use the code.

  • +1

Drop in price, now comes to $230.40.

    • Wow but black is now out of stock!

    • Awesome great find perfect… timing… since moving from iPhone to the JB Pixel 2 XL deal!
