  • Are these any good?

    • Bought 1 last year didn't last a week. Bought another a month later, which was slightly slimmer, still works. Guess it's a hit & miss. Paid approx A$6 btw in a promo.

    Was $2.60.

They are quite bright. Don't stay on long, so good for front porch, corridor, but not for toilet/washroom.
    No delay adjustment.
And they don't come on unless it is very dark.

    (all as in the specs)

  • It won't turn on unless you are just under it. It should say 2 metres rather than 16 feet range.

    • I've got it at the front porch from this deal, can definitely say that it works perfectly, reacts even to people who walk past our property and sometimes even to buses, which drive along the street, so I would say that it works definitely in range more than 2m (more like 4-5 m, bit it is more sensitive in closer distance)

Thanks, I might get two for the living room…

    • I would like to enter your room, perfect room for me

Similar one at Bunnings for $14.95. Sengled brand

    • might give these a test

    • I bought one from Bunnings. The Sengled ones do not have a photo sensor. It comes on day and night when you walk nearby.

      • You must have a super dark hallway even during the day or your unit is doa. Mine definitely don’t turn on during the day.

    • Only stopped by to mention this. I’ve tried both and the Bunnings ones are well worth the extra few dollars, let alone for the local warranty. I hope the next ones however have a brightness setting.

    • Thanks for the heads up re the Sengled brand similar bulb at Bunnings.
Bunnings also have an outdoor PAR38 version for $29.
      Pic looks good.
      Worth the extra?

Also, anyone know what light temperature these are - warm white or cool white?

  • I had had few of these (similar) with mix results, but your mileage may vary

    • Some lasted only few weeks (very poorly made)
    • Some are very sensitive some are not so - both to light conditions and motion.
    • some also emit a low background sound

But when they work they are extremely convenient …especially in corridors, hallways, walk in robes and stairways.

Just be aware that these use e27 socket not the standard d22

I have one in the laundry, plenty of light for that room, picks up movement quite well.

Would recommend if bought for a good price.

  • Sorry hamza23, missed shipping cost

Guys dont Buy this….. 60 Secs turn off is bad, if you put it in the toilet, you gotta keep moving to keep the light on, if you cant adjust the delay then no point. Its better to buy a HOLDER on ebay with LUX/TIME settings for about 7.5 $ and it works charm for me. No more screaming at the kids to leaving the lights on in the Toilers laundry and bathroom

You take more than 60 Secs in the toilet.

What are you doing in there ????
