Good deal op! But Jaycar deals don’t seem to go down well on OzB due to their terrible history and moral values

Wow, had no idea about that, thanks for pointing that out!

That's okay, had no idea myself, I've revoked my own positive vote.

I've had fantastic experience with Jaycar service, I mean I really doubt every single company would meet your ethics standards of a company, who wants to make money…..

      • Absolutely. The aim of every corp is to maximise profits. The big retailers have been shafting suppliers for years, driving their prices down to the point of driving them out of business. Companies are eking every last drop of utility out of animals to gain extra cents from their miserable lives. The natural environment is of minimal concern if a dollar is to be made. Employees' wages are not rising in proportion to outputs. Jaycar is the norm, not an exception; only that a face and story has been attached to one of their shady practices. Where are the protests against Woolies / Coles / Maccas / etc.?

That said, I still largely boycott Jaycar for other reasons - IMO their stuff is usually the cheapest junk at inflated prices, plus I'm not a fan of owner Gary Johnson's politics / attitude towards women.

        • Yea I can understand. That's why I never eat at Kingsley's anymore

Saw the collapsible bucket and thought, cool, gonna grab one.

Then I saw Spock's link and watched the vid. Stuff it, not buying.

Here Here, we only support cheap Chinese products that may or may not have breached some ones IP here on OZB.
Damned if we are going to support an Australian company which may or may not be doing a similar thing.
