FAQ

Where do I enter the coupon code?

  • No coupon required.

It's showing me higher AUD price than mentioned in the title

  • Choose USD as your currency from top left hand corner. Don't select AUD, always choose to pay in USD, it will work out cheaper even after your credit card conversion fees. Also read the below.

How do I ensure I get the cheapest AUD price possible

  • To avoid higher currency conversion rates and to get cheapest price from these Chinese websites, you should get a credit card that charges zero currency conversion fees. 28Degrees, Bankwest Zero, Coles Mastercard are generally popular. Irrespective of what credit card you use, always choose to pay in USD on these Chinese websites, (Go back to main page, Choose "USD" from top left hand corner). Additionally set your Paypal so it "bills you in the currency on Seller's Invoice". To set your PayPal account this way permanently, follow the steps shown in these snapshots [Highly recommended]

Should i pull the trigger on this or wait for the Blackvue DR750s to go on sale?

    • What's the expected sale price of DR750?

      • Looking at autobarn. It's just under $600 for the 2ch. Then you SHOULD buy the magic pro with it which is another $70 and then like kangal said to get someone to install for you. All up around $800. (Unless you install it yourself of course)

I think I'm going to wait for autobarn to have a sale. Prices should go down slightly as the 4k version is coming but I don't expect it to go down by alot.

I'm sure I read someone here got it installed for $500-$600 last Xmas. Which I think it's ok.

        • +1

Yes got mine DR750, 64gb microSD and magic pro for $500 last xmas.
Best offer plus 20% off through ebay.

The VIOFO A119S is considered the best dashcam in terms of quality, you can get for under AU$200.
The BlackVue DR750's usually retail around AU$400-$600.

You are much much better off getting the A119S NOW, and using it.
The only reason to get another/different dashcam is for either TaxiCam, or for ParkingCam.

If you have a nice car, don't get the BlackVue's as is.
Pay for the top model, have them fitted by a professional, and with a Blackbox.
Ideally you want to capture Accidents wether they happen during a drive or parked alone, and you want that high night-time visibility on both the front camera and the rear-camera. Sounds pricey? Yep. But these things pay for themselves many times over as they disprove wrongful parking tickets, driving infringements, accidents, and even unintended footage that could be useful to you in other ways (ie mugshot of a burglar in your garage).

PS I just bought one for a sibling.

      • How much was the cost to install the dashcam?

        • Not hard for installing your self.

        • @zipzap090:

Hard wiring it to the car and everything?

    • Is Blackvue DR750s the gold standard?

  • What is the coupon code, and is this better than the A119?

It was posted here for under $82 AU ($65 US) three months ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/355543

I purchased from that deal. Tracking showed as being at AusPost sorting in Chullora NSW from the start of Feb, but never moved after that. Rep on here was responsive and apparently looked into it with their shipping company but nothing changed for over 2 months.

I gave up and got it refunded last week, which was done quickly.

      • That sucks. Were you the only one, or other people had similar issue? I was thinking to grab if this dashcam is posted again cheaper, but I might avoid this seller if that happens a lot.

I ordered in the deal before it on the 23rd of November. I was finally refunded by them on the 24th of March.

Every time I submitted a ticket I was told to wait another couple of weeks and I would be refunded. Over 30 back and forth messages in 4 months and they suggested a few times it might be because I made a mistake despite them knowing multiple other people weren't getting this item due to customs issues.

No one else commented in the thread above when I mentioned it, but I have definitely seen similar comments on here in other threads.

Seems like maybe they send bulk lots to Australia which sometimes get lost or blocked by customs or something, not really sure.

Edit to address above - yeah LITB support are not that great, PM the rep on here and he/she gets things done.

        • +1

@djkelly69: I did PM the rep here and they said I'd get the refund but soon after the supervisor I had a ticket with blocked it or something to that affect because no other refund was mentioned until he finally confirmed it was lost a week later.

Happens to a lot of users including me. I blacklisted LIB for future purchases unless they have something not sold anywhere else.

        • @Ssilver7: I just go the PayPal route, INR, file within 3 months. Provide shipping details to them and LITB refund straight away.

I've had it happen on maybe 5-10 orders out of probably 3000.

      • LITB has a bad reputation on shipping. Why is it still on ozbargain front page deals makes no sense.

        Admin please take note

Bought mine in January, took 10 days to process the order, then wait another 25 days to arrive, banned myself from buying anything from this site again.

    • Order processing seems a little long but 25 days delivery from China doesn't seem unusual. I used to buy all sorts of knick knacks from Chinese sites and they all took 1 - 1.5 month to arrive.

  • I was really worried about my shipment of this dash cam from their last deal after reading comments here at Ozbargain. Bought the dash cam mid March got it last week. Almost a month for the delivery. Tracking said left country of origin but since then there was no update.

    • +1

1 month from China using cheap postage? That would fit inside the expected time frame from purchase to delivery.

    • One month sounds normal for Chinese postage. No worries there. Same with the tracking, doesn't work once it leaves the country.

  • I bought some dashcams from this site as well as some micro SD cards. The micro SDs were fakes, so be careful.

  • is this expired now? cant get it to work.

Guys, just be wary. i've pruchased exactly the same product from this store last october. the camera broke after sometime in February.. i filed a ticket to repair/exchange the product and they mentioned to me its only covered for 3 months!

it clearly stated on the page 12 months warranty.
    just be wary with them.

  • Wow! Received mine already, that was quick
