If this is the Android TV version, I would steer clear.
I have a support tech here right now struggling to fix all of the problems.
They replaced the panel and the motherboard.
Unfortunately, we have to wait for software updates to fix the sluggish loading times, random freezing, apps crashing and random TV reboots.

I have an older model though, KD49x8300C so they may have fixed some of the issues.
Definitely try it out before you buy.

All being said, the Sony support has been really good and helpful but yeah bad implementation going with Android TV.

    • I have the model before this one - the 75 X8500D. Works flawlessly. Netflix app occasionally crashes (once a month maybe?). No random reboots or anything like that.

    • Had issues with both of my c equivalents. Latest update seems very stable so far.

      Still no regrets though.

You have posted this twice in 2 Sony TV sales today. We get it, you have problems with your TV. Obviously this is not everyone's experience with the millions of Sony Android TVs sold or else they wouldn't make them. We all know Sony Android TV can be a little sluggish at times but I have 2 recent Samsung's as well that take way too long to load the guide and the new version of Freeview can be impossible and maddening to navigate at times. No TV is perfect. Your TV is 2 generations behind this one as well. The processor in your TV is probably not up to the task, and unless the next version of Android TV is a lot lighter and runs a lot faster than previous versions you may need to accept that your TV will always be the way it is. Its possible the C series just sucked, as I think it might have been the first generation to have Android TV. They probably didn't get the formula right first time around.

Try enabling developer options and set background processes to a maximum of 4. It might not help the crashing but it might help the responsiveness.

    • Do factory reset and disable most bloatwares, my 8000C has no lag at all on latest nougat update.

How does the Sony 75" compare with the Hisense N75?

    • +1

I compared both these TV's a few months ago, and I actually liked the N75 more.

Best things is too take a disk or usb drive into the shop and try them both.

I think it is pretty subjective…
