    Got my cancellation email @ 12:30 as well, then got Auspost email @ 2:30 that the order is on it's way…

  • Signed up just to comment, received cancellation email around 1pm followed by a order ready at around 230pm. Ordered through website and picked up at around 5. Definitely worth going in-store and trying your luck.

    Ozbargainers who have received an order ready for pickup email: I highly recommend ringing the store to "confirm" your order is ready. I ordered mine at 830am. Pickup email 1030am. Cancellation email 1230pm. After work 7pm I still rang the store out of interest and they said my order was behind front desk waiting for pickup even though I had received cancellation email. I just picked it up now. Worth a try.

  • I'm a bit confused, ordered about 8:25 from ebay, got a cancellation from TGG at 12.31pm received an Invoice at 7:47pm an electronic receipt at 7:50pm and "Good news it's on it's way" at 7:51pm

          Called this morning and my order was cancelled on their end too so no luck there, didn't try to push it as it's too early for me to argue. Good luck to everyone else getting their orders! :)

      Gonna try it at Tuggeranong tomorrow morning - if they get fussy make sure to mention the ACCC, and that buying it at an advertised price is essentially a contract, etc.

      Come to think of it, if everyone on this thread made a complaint to the ACCC, they would start an investigation into misleading pricing. The in-store advertised price would have been full price, and they didn’t withdraw the items from sale until they “fixed” the “error” on the website, so they might be legally obligated to sell it at the lower price.

      If you choose an item or service that has multiple different prices displayed or advertised and the business can’t withdraw the product or service from sale and fix the error, you are entitled to buy it for the lowest price.

        Let us know how you go at Tuggers. It’s where I had mine for C&C until I received the ‘wrong price’ email. Before it being followed up with an email containing my tax invoice electronic receipt. Bit rude sending that reminding me of what I bought but didn’t actually buy…. apparently.

    Has anyone in the Sydney region managed to click and collect one? Got the cancellation email yesterday at around 10:30am and then received the come collect it call at 1:15pm, then the emails to say my order was ready from Wetherill Park. Didn’t call them back to make my chances worse so when I got there the sales manager proceeded to tell me that at 5pm they got confirmation an hour before that they were cancelling all orders and that he couldn’t give it to me, even though it was under the counter. I said that people had got their orders and he proceeded to try and call Auburn and another store so the store manager could tell me he same thing.

      The Good Guys are notoriously slow to refund.

      Last time something like this happened it took them almost two weeks to refund me.

        …ughh. turning into a giant balls up….first bad experience for me with tgg over a dozen transactions or so and a couple thousand dollars spent with them. pretty crappy way of doing business.

    Bugger. I sent an email to change the delivery address. I got a cancellation notice in return. They say their team will be working over the next few days to cancel and refund all purchases.

  • Now my ebay order has changed status to "your payment did not go through" which is incorrect. It was paid by PayPal immediately.
    Will be dropping a huge steaming dump on their feedback due to zero communication, not honoring sales and slow refunds

    • Have to wait a week apparently, I tried yesterday when I got the email; luckily it didn’t allow it as I ended up with one.

  • Just checked again my ebay order out of curiosity and it is still marked paid but not sent. Still no cancellation email.

    Let me quote eBay TGG's Terms and Conditions regarding pricing errors:

    "Error on our Site

    Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and We reserve the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged."

    Just got a refund form PayPal - didn't ask for it and have had zero communication re order… Also blew my 10% eBay code which i'm spewing about… Gone from Happy to Pissed on this one from 'The Poor Form Guys'

      Yes this is really poor form from the Good Guys.
      No explanation letters - just cancelling completed orders.
      They have done the kind of PayPal refund that ties up the funds up for ages.
      No vouchers to apologize despite usually doing so,
      Very shoddy

    Weird, after the error email yesterday, today I got an Auspost tracking number with an ETA of Tuesday 17th and a receipt from TGG. Here’s hoping!
