I think you'll find that they are migrating to an in app purchase arrangement rather than an pay up front app

That's certainly what is happening on the iOS app store

Can't for the life of me figure out why this requires my call history information. Some really strange permissions required.

    • Set mine on deny.

      • How? I don't see any this option at install

        • +3

          It's not.

Process below is For Android 8.1.0 (Oreo). Ability to deny permissions was added from Android 6 (Marshmallow), but process may differ slightly.

          If you go into

Settings > Apps & Notifications (select "> See all ### apps" if it's not in the initial list) > Talisman > Permissions

and disable all the permissions you don't want it to have.

App/s may not function properly with permissions denied, albeit rarely, especially with unneeded ones such as Telephone. Some dodgier apps may just refuse to work (not that they're unable to…).

          @Chandler:

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to explain how to fix this. I have other apps I have needed to install due to convenience that have always annoyed me with their intrusive requirements

  • Do Google Opinion Rewards credits ever expire?

I thought all credits were reset to 1 year expiry when the next survey is completed?

    • Mine have never expired… I used some after almost 3 years.

Not sure, this is what Google says.

      Do my credits expire?
Yes, credits accrued through Google Opinion Rewards expire 1 year from the date of credit.

      • Any way to see expiry date?

        • +2

If you check "Reward history", it gives you the date the reward was earned. Expiry is a year from that.
