I have noticed Google chromecast is a viable option as mostly will be viewing twitch, youtube.
Wondering if there are any other options in case I want to stream off a different service, any other devices I could keep my eye on and any pros or cons?

I dont think that would work let alone be possible.
Why Bluetooth ?
Yes sorry im new to the connection and a bit vague on the details. I think you are right, i am meant to connect over wifi. Do you have any suggestions, i will look into the steam box.
as above, intel widi / miracast .. make sure both pc/laptop & tv supports it.
I've seen wireless HDMI dongles around. I've never had any experience with them but thought I should mention it.
Chromecast
Chromecast should work for casting youtube and screen mirroring other sites using the Chrome browser. If not why not just plug it into the tv with a HDMI cable or something similar?
This is the set up we have. Yes, not as neat as a wireless solution, but found it worked far better than Chromecast. Don't know if was doing something wrong, but found Chromecast to be next door to unusable due to lagging.
What do you mean by "in case i want to stream from a different service"? Chromecast works well from PC, smartphone, tablet etc. I doubt you'll find a better value wifi option.
I'm not understanding, does the Chromecast show anything you are doing on the PC including gaming etc? I was under the impression it will only pick up chrome, youtube, twitch etc.
A Chromecast will definitely stream your desktop.
Click the Cast button in Chrome, then click the 'Cast To' text and change from Cast Tab to Cast Desktop.
Performance can be choppy on an old PC, and definitely isn't low-latency for gaming like a Steam Link or Xbox to Win10 Game Streaming, but for basically any purpose otherwise will work quite well. And being device-agnostic, will work from a Mac, PC or Android device to stream your screen (dunno about iPhones).
This method means you're not restricted to a 'cast-enabled' app like Youtube where it's got a dedicated Cast button.
Do you have a smart TV?
Might be easier to just use the apps on the TV itself, especially if it's mostly YouTube, I imagine Twitch would have an app also.
If you have media on your PC that you want to watch, it's worth exploring and using Plex.
Chromecast works with netflix, twitch, youtube
Videostream program + chromecast works with all downloaded video files
Wifi HDMI transmitters exist. I haven't had any experience with them but I imagine that something like Chromecast would be more simple if you're just looking to view Twitch/Youtube.
Are the TV and PC in the same room? If they're not - how are you planning on controlling the PC while viewing the TV? If they are - why not just get a long enough HDMI cord?
Less cords are better, if it comes down to it I will just plug in my laptop but prefer to just use my computer. It seems Chromecast is the best option, Thanks everyone I'm new to this technology never had a thought in my mind about it until today.
Too much regal thinking ;)

It sells for $98 at Harvey Norman. It's probably a little bit cheaper on eBay

Mircrosoft wireless display adapters work decently.
I've used them a fair bit before and apart from the occasional need to restart them (if your TV/display powers them 24/7) they've been pretty good.
I use to use a VGA cable or a HDMI cable
Is that even possible? Streaming over Bluetooth. Even if possible it would be really laggy and slow.
You can try and stream it to your tv using WIDI if your Smart TV supports it. Fast and smooth enough to play games without noticing any lag. Similar to the Steam Box thing.
