  • What’s the weather like there in August/September?

      Ask siri

    • August is summer holidays. Sept new school year.

    • +1

      Really hot :)

      • And damn Humid too, you probably need to shower 3 times a day … Best for losing weight while holiday there, you going to sweat a lot!

    • similar to Cairns

    • wet, humid, and hot. they had level 10 (the highest level) storm last year in august. and smaller storm through out the month.

      • I’ll pass on the deal given the weather is so bad

        • The weather is not "bad".
Just not cool enough for outing. Nov/Dec is much better for sight seeing though.

    • Typhoon season

  • Got this
"Looks like something went wrong with our end. Please use the navigation menu at the top of the page to try again or click here to return to the home page."

  • August is HK summer.
Hot and sticky. Dare say super moist!
    Great price though…

    This thread needs some puns.
"I went to Hong Kong on a 420 deal, plane was higher than expected".
"Good way to weed out the cheapies"
"People will be exploring their grass roots"

    • Saw the price, came hoping id get to read some of these comment

    • Thank-you for blunting the puns.

    Whats an Aunt Betty??

    • I use it before, not purchase directly through them but use it as price match with Flight Centre, FC beat it by $1 as well lol. So I am pretty sure the site is legit.

Pretty sure they are owned by flight centre. I booked flights through them recently and the invoice mentioned flight centre.

      • It's owned by Flight Centre

  • Couldnt get results NEAR your prices until I matched your dates - I suspect it would be quite hot at that time of year

    • Yep. Blazing hot

    • +4

So on those specific dates, we probably can assume that half the plane will be ozbargainers!

  • way i look at it is this airfare is about half normal fare, but because its so bloody hot you miss half of hong kong. so kind of not a deal at all for a normal holiday. forget repulse bay, stanley markets, peak anything outdoors you will run from aircon to aircon and miss too much. when i lived in hk it was so horrible in july and august that we'd go on holidays then! but great deal to see family if you aren't planning on spending anytime outdoors at all and just want to go shopping! (malls only, no outdoor markets!!)

just spent a week there, go have saturday brunch at Hutong, it's amazing if you love champagne and dumplings :D

  • Worst possible time to go

    • Indeed. I went there on my way to England many years ago. Arrived Friday night at the old airport just as a hurricane was approaching. Had to spend 24 hours basically confined to the hotel as it blew through..

  • I went August last year. Was fine. Id rather be in a singlet than be wearing jackets though.

Just booked using the deal - Code still works OP
thanks for the post $440 Syd-HK very cheap :D

Awesome news mate, enjoy and be sure to:

      • visit the Hong Kong national museum (free)
      • take the ferry to Hong Kong island
      • visit the peak tram (but early in the morning to escape the heat)
      • get the bus from Hong Kong airport to your hotel (cheapest and easiest)
      • stay in Jordan. It's the best value location and is only 10min walk from the harbour

      You'll love it!

      • Any tips on where to go for food ?

        • Lots of choices depending on where you're staying. I stayed at the Evergreen Hotel Hong Kong (48 Woo Sung Street, Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong, Hong Kong - highly recommend) and about 5min walk from lots of eateries. Part of the adventure is choosing for yourself. Enjoy!
