  • Better than adsl 2+?

  • How does it affect when it is cloudy?

      Never heard of cloud computing?

      • Cloud computing is not what happen when cloud covers computing.

    • Clouds don't really affect it. Heavy rain can cause speed drops and/or dropouts though.

This is only anecdotal though from having satellite for a few years before adsl2+

  • BUT what happened to your current contract?
This is good only you do not have contract with ISP.

  • Is this the service availability checker? https://www1.nbnco.com.au/learn-about-the-nbn/network-techno…

  • I am in area where NBN is planned for next year. ADSL speeds are horrible. Can i get this or this is only for areas where they are not planning any other NBN connections.

    • The minimum 600ms latency will likely make horrible ADSL seem pretty good by comparison…

      • Works fine for watching Netflix though, latency means nothing. Just garbage for gaming.

  • This would work well for most of the Nation's Capital… currently get 3Mbps up and 0.1Mbps down.

    • It depends on the beam. If you are in the centre coverage of the beam, the signal should be strong. If you are at the edge, the signal should be weak. The beam is moving, so National Capitals are not always at the best location technically. To change to the angle of the beam to focus on our capital cities is too complicated for NBN satellite…This is my thought
