Or you could get yourself one at Kmart for $20.

Worth the extra money. This was my 4th bouncer/swing purchase and will never go back. 5 star reviews. Also selling on eBay second hand for $100! My Kmart one couldn’t get rid of it for free on GumTree.

I can't recommend this enough, one of my most used baby item purchases!

    • I can't recommend this

      why not?

  • Is this equivalent to a rocker? We have a rocker and our baby hates it from day 1, pretty much hates being strapped in, is this really that good and magical?

It's a bouncer. We loved it because it folded flat so was really easy to take with us when we went out and needed something for bub to sit in (he'd nap in it too when we were out, but it says not to let babies sleep in it).
It was great, but I bought mine second hand for about $40. I couldn't justify the price of a new one (and the toy/activity bar doesn't come with it - it's about $60 extra). My son is nine months old now and he hasn't used it for months (ever since he was sitting on his own). Apparently it can be used as a seat for toddlers but I haven't looked into that.

Everyone’s given it a 5 star review, so I assume it’s really that good.

I don’t know if babies love it that much or if it’s just practical (chuck in baby, rock to sleep or feed)

I’ve got a fussy baby my self, I’ve tried every swing, rocker, bouncer (they are different, she hates her swing but liked the rocker etc. different positions and moving motions) After doing research I think she will enjoy this as she isn’t old enough to sit up yet but likes to see around her (this bouncer holds them up high)

I’ll find out next week when it arrives.

Every child is different, as I’m sure you know. You’re taking a risk with anything you buy them as to whether they’ll use it or not. My first child would rarely want to sit in his but my second uses it every day and it has been incredibly convenient.

While I wouldn’t be buying this thinking it would help them get to sleep, I have used ours for them to occasionally sleep in when they’ve had a cold as the lowest setting is still slightly raised, which helps breathing and therefore helped them (and us) sleep better. Once they’re rolling, it’s not safe to do.

If your child has a playmat, I wouldn’t worry about the toys that attach to this, there’s really no need.

Overall, this has been one of our most useful purchases. Think I paid around $140, if not more, for the original version and have more than got my money’s worth.

  • Thanks for the post. Wife has been hassling me to get one and it’s cheap enough that I can sell it second hand for a similar price once the baby has outgrown it

  • Can you stack the Kogan ebay voucher with an ebay discount voucher code? Do Kogan ever do 20% eBay codes or would the site wide 10% be the best you could get?

    • You can use the ebay discount to buy the Kogan voucher. You need to buy the bouncer from the Kogan site not eBay. If they did 20% off, the price would be jacked up or shipping cost would be added I think, I’ve been keeping an eye out. Plus there’s also the $10 referal credit if it’s your first time signing up to Kogan.

  • Free shipping ends tonight apparently

  • Just receive an email saying shipping delayed with $20 voucher

    • Same here! My baby started sitting up yesterday so no need for this bouncer anymore. However I was happy to spend the $20.
