  • Anything for Thailand or Vietnam?

    • We have a Thailand SIM but nothing for Vietnam.

Thailand will be something we test in the coming few weeks.

Make sure to vote for Vietnam above in the Google Poll :)

Also, you can subscribe to us on our OzB Company Page to get notified when we post deals.

      Hope this helps!

  • what bands does this utilize for 4g? just wondering if ill be able to fully use my nighthawk M1

    • Hi Thorn,

      B1 (2100) LTE
      B8 (900) LTE
      B9 (1800) LTE
      B41 (TD 2500) LTE

You should expect up to 42 mbps speed in major cities. However in more rural areas you will most likely only get access to 3G and H+ speeds.

      Hope this helps!

      Cheers,
      -Aidan

P.S Just looked up what a Nighthawk M1 is. Thats a serious wifi device haha!

  • Was looking for a travel sim for Japan for 2 weeks in May, but this being a 7 day one… its a bummer. I cant be bothered to get 2 sim cards as they are data only costing a total of $50.

Might as well go on the Vodafone $5 roaming with calls and use them when I need it. Saves the hassle of changing sim cards in and out of the phone.

      Hi Aspire,

Totally fair. We have had a lot of people ask for longer duration SIM so we will be looking in to other Japan products.

      Thanks for your feedback.

      -Aidan

  • Hi rep. I'm interested in Argentina & Spain, so let me know if you come up with something. No rush, though. I know that Argentina isn't a very traveled country so feel free to ping me here if a deal comes about.

    • Hey Chonkie,

We have a uk + Europe SIM that will be our next post (includes Argentina and Spain).

If you go to the description of this post. At the bottom after P.S you can go to our OzBargain Company Page to subscribe and get notified when we go live!

      Thanks,
      -Aidan

  • Thank you for this, travel sims in Japan are expensive and believe it or not based on experience mostly found in big city areas. So this is convenient and cheap.
Although only 7 day sims I needed 2 to stretch over 2 weeks but no worries.
    Thanks again.

    • Thanks for the positive feedback! <3

      Have a safe trip
      -Aidan

  • Thank you. I would be travelling in June.

    • Thanks <3 Have a safe trip

  • Sorry if this is a dumb question. How does the 7 days thing work?

I arrive 22 May 7pm. If I activate on arrival, will it expire 29 May 7pm? Or will it count 22 May as day 1 and expire on 28 May midnight?

  • I'm also leaving on 16th, any chance to have two sims fast tracked ?

    • Hey Jaybee!

Shouldn't be a problem, I'd recommend grabbing express post to ensure we get it to you on time! :)

      -Aidan

  • just ordered!…but will be in japan for 8 days, so on the last day i might need to use my Telstra travel pack $10 per day.

    • Really appreciate the business + Support andrit!

      Have a great trip :)

    I just got 2, for a total of $49.

I'm going for 12 days, and it WAS a worthwhile investment getting an extra one to cover the extra 5 days.

Those of you who are saying "I can use my Vodafone roaming" do the maths… At $5 a day that's $60… I'm saving $11 doing it this way.

Actually I'm kinda relieved people won't be bugging me stupid with phone calls to my usual SIM while I'm away either!

Just a side note… seeing how helpful SimsDirect have been with prompt and friendly assistance to all the queries on this thread kind of sealed the deal for me.

Neenie, really appreciate the kind words! :)

Honestly brings a big smile to my face.

Thanks for your business and support!

      Have an amazing trip.

is this better or Simsdirect? I am transiting via singapore so getting the starhub isn't an issue. Just don't know the data speeds for both

    • +2

Hi! I can guarantee 42mbps 4G speed with this SIM.

There doesn't seem to be anything listed on the website about their speed in Japan.

Very interesting looking SIM card though.

      Has some great value.

      Thanks for your comment!

      -Aidan

    • The Star Hub Happy Sim is not only cheaper, but more flexible. You can use it in so many countries and don't have to worry about buying a new SIM in every country you step in.

PS - Have used Happy Sim in US, Canada, NZ, Aus, Singapore, China, and it supports tethering.

      • Thanks for the comment Suti! It's definitely a SIM I'm going to be looking into :)

Did the Happy SIM have 4G coverage in those countries listed?

    Hi Aiden,

Could we please get a Japanese SIM with 1 month expiry?

    Thanks!

    • Hey Bob81!

So sorry for the late reply.

I'm working on getting a SIM with a longer validity!

Subscribe to us here on OzBargain to be notified once we release the SIM :)

  • I was so eager to buy that I forgot to enter the discount code :( Is it possible to get a refund so I can buy it again?

    • Hey Sloth!

Sorry for the late reply my!

I can refund you the difference, just provide me with your order number :)

      -Aidan

  • Thank you. Ordered 4 sims for my trip next month.

    • Thanks for the business Kpl <3

      Have an awesome trip!

  • After purchasing 2x USA sims on 2/4 received the email today 8/4 about the company cancelling my order. After discussion on social media was informed that they were selling products to the Ozbargain community that they don't actually have in stock (waiting on deliveries from Hong Kong that have been delayed). Due to the popularity of the deal I assume that Op was greedy and oversold thinking they would be able to get more stock in. I understand this is a relatively new business but this is terrible practice and as we leave for the States in a few days won't have time to organise anything else. Would definitely avoid in future.

      I understand your frustration Dave77.

It is unfortunate that your order was affected by the surge in orders. It is 100% my mistake.

I will take better care next time and manage myself for the surge in orders for future customers. I am human, I make mistakes and unfortunately my mistake has affected you.

I hope you can take the time to understand that, and that I am genuinely trying to learn and build good business practice.

Your order is refunded in full, and if you need some help finding a SIM when you land feel free to ask me.

      Sincerely,
      -Aidan

  • Unreliable seller.

I bought the US sim with 30% off from this deal this week. Tuesday night I contacted the rep before purchasing to ensure that they would be able to send the sim quickly.

**The Rep said it would be no problem and that I should get express postage , i.e. 24-48 delivery. **

I placed my order on tuesday night with express postage (would arrive in Bris at the very latest by Monday) and on saturday night got an email saying they were cancelling my order as they didn't have stock. leaving tuesday.

    • Hey altomic,

I misjudged my stock levels when making that promise to you. It is my fault and I take responsibility.

I am truly sorry I let you down my man. I hope you can understand I made a mistake.

I definitely got excited by the orders coming in and made promises without realising I couldn’t follow through.

As you are leaving so soon I can’t make it to you in time.

Your order has been refunded in full and I am sorry I couldn’t pull through for you.

      Sincerely,
      -Aidan

Be very careful of this deceitful trader. Purchased this deal then a some time later I get an email saying they are unable to fulfill the order and won't be shipping it for a delay. Now tonight I get a promotional email from them (which I didn't subscribe to) offering this very product for $22.50 with their website claiming them to be in stock, with my order still not yet dispatched. Now I'm wondering if I'll receive the product at all.

    • Hi Max,

I would like to apologize for the confusion. I was editing the prices and mistyped the price. I also changed it so that customers don't have to type in the promo code and it is already pre-applied. As I had a lot of customers struggle using the promo code.

On top of that, the website is set for 'pre-orders' when I am out of stock and warns customers of the increased delivery time when purchasing (15 business days).

I'm still learning this online e-commerce stuff so I am constantly testing and trying new things. The automated emails I'm probably going to stop for now until I understand them better.

I can personally guarantee you will get your order, I have been busy dispatching orders all day. All Japan orders will be fulfilled asap.

      Sincerely,
      -Aidan

Came on here to say the same thing, hasn’t even supplied the stock he’s sold and he’s trying to sell more stock for a lower price. Won’t ever deal with again

        • Hi Unique,

I can promise you I am not trying to market at a lower price. This would be really counter-intuitive. Especially emailing it to my existing customer base. It has been corrected as you can see on my website.

I understand your unhappiness with me. I have made some mistakes. Trying to get through it all as best I can.

          -Aidan

        • @SimsDirect: I assume you’re refunding orders that paid extra for express postage too, right?

        • @unique452:
          Hi Unique,

I have refunded all orders that I won't be able to get delivered before the departure date. Exactly this reason is why I collect the departure date on orders. I have notified every single one of my customers informing them of the delays for orders and have been very transparent about it.

Luckily I had very few orders order express as most people aren't leaving until later in the year.

I will gladly refund anyone who is unhappy with my service or the products and I stand by that strongly.

I am so sorry I have given you a bad taste for me, I am trying my best.

          Cheers,
          -Aidan

        • +2

@SimsDirect: I paid $8 extra for express postage, I don’t feel that the cost is justified. It’s now too late for me to easily organise something else so I have to stick it out. You can say you’re sorry all you like but the end of the day it’s zero risk for you. You don’t have the goods therefore refunding doesnt cost you anything (other than lost profit). Not immediately refunding all express postage charges or sending all SIMs express postage shows that you’d prefer to just weather a few complaining customers and just provide poor service to the rest. I bought your goods on good faith, and paid extra to ensure a prompt service, so far you’re keeping the extra I paid AND providing me poorer service, but you’ve got me trapped because it’s now to late to seriously look elsewhere. Best of luck to you and whoever purchases from you, I won’t ever again.

          @unique452:

          Hey Unique,

I appreciate your feedback. The stock was here I just sold it faster than expected and customers missed out. I can even provide evidence of this.

Your order has been refunded in full. You have not been charged anything at all.

However I do agree with you. I have wasted your time and your trust by not being organised and making a promise I couldn’t follow through on.

I understand your frustration and I don’t expect to have you back or give me another chance, that’s entirely up to you. I just hope you can see me as a person who made a mistake and not a business being decieptful to make a quick buck.

          -Aidan

*just double checked your refunded order. Your order was never charged for express shipping. It was free as your order was over $100.

        • @SimsDirect: that’s going to be uncomfortable for whoever’s order you just refunded, as that’s not the details of my order, nor have I received a refund and I explicitly said I wanted the product, so refunding me and not supplying would have been a dick move.

You’re really digging yourself a bigger hole by the minute here.

        • @unique452:

It seems I have you confused for someone else…

          It’s pretty muddy down here…

Can I please have your order number? I can have your express postage refunded if you are unhappy with paying for it.

          -Aidan

  • Hi! I just placed an order for 2 sims but totally forgot to put the discount code in. Could I possibly be refunded? Order number is #3170. Sorry! 😅

    • Hi Missmiry,

The coupon code was removed and the price now represents the deals price. :)

      No need to worry.

      Thanks,
      -Aidan
