周五周六全天 一碗传统牛肉拉面 只要0.99 = A bowl of traditional beef ramen on Friday, Saturday and Saturday 0.99c
Name of Restaurant in English = Auspicious palace

    • +3

      0.99 dollar, not 0.99 cent.

    • How would people know the name is Auspicious Palace if there is no English? :) (I happen to read Chinese)…

In the lower left corner of the photo is a lady praying over her purse for a holiday miracle. Suddenly three signs appeared in front of her offering a bowl of traditional beef ramen for 99 cents. Praise be to whichever supernatural being(s) she was praying to.

  • Is it 1st Choice Restaurant? Streetview

    • +3
      • The reflection in the windows in the deal photo shows a church with distinctive cream coloured arches on red bricks and a white on blue opening hours board. Street View shows the Chinese Mission Church opposite 1st Choice Restaurant has the same features.

      • Both the deal photo and Street View show a perforated metal cylindrical object located to the left of the shop front.

      • There are congratulatory flower arrangements in the shop front for, I guess, the opening of a new restaurant.

      • The Street View photo was taken in December 2016.

My guess is that the 1st Choice Restaurant has closed and this new restaurant is opening at the same location.

      • That is exactly correct. I guess it used to be 1st Choice Restaurant. Next to it is Oritea which is on 128 Little Bourke Street.

      • CSI Bargain.

  • Thanks, stocked up on 20.

  • Is it okay in Australia the business using foreign language (not the conversation)? It’s occured to me the receipt in some Asian groceries also in Chinese, not in English
