I thought the point of having a DVD ripper was to rip the DVDs you have, so you have no need to use the DVD disc to play your movies. Or am I missing something.

      • Ditto.;)

Whether minimal or mighty, personal home DVD collection may contain irreplaceable content. And some older movies or less popular movies are being progressively deleted from streaming catalogs, so holding your own disk copy may be the only way to ensure your favorite program doesn't disappear forever.

        • Hope your company releases this product as an ancient joke and works on so many new and innovative ideas people have not worked on yet.
No one uses DVDs unless they want to lose some data. Plus it is slow and expensive.
I think last time I ripped a disk was 10 years ago. Hopefully I don't have any disk. I better check and back up if any.

I can’t remember the last time I ripped a DVD.

A few years ago i would’ve been all over this.

      Times have changed.

Thank you, OP. It is unfortunate people were not taught the golden rule, "If you do not have something nice to say don’t say anything at all!" ;-)

      Second that!

  • Does it remove DVD protections ? I have a few DVDs that i just couldn't rip as the protections caused errors.

  • Thanks OP! Love the software
