    Got excited for two seconds thinking it is QC35.

    Not really a bargain. If anything, by now this model should be right around $200 mark or under. Old tech. But hey, I love my QC25 since it uses AAA battery. Long live Eneloop!

    • hi i wondering if these are worth it. Does the batteries power the noise cancellation so without them you can still listen but no noise cancellation just have to use cable. I like the ideas for the batteries compared to the qc35 but you have to use the cable as this is not wireless. I read they can be used without a cable for noise cancellation how do you do this.

        Yes the NC mode is powered by a single AAA and you can switch it off and continue listening to music without the battery.

        With AirMod, you can turn QC25 to BT headphone. Although this adapter can be quite an expensive add-on, which that makes QC25 as pricey as QC35s. You can use a low cost ebay's BT adapter but you need to use an extension cord 2.5mm to 3.5mm.

        My setup

        Is it worth it? Hell yeah for me since I'm a light user. I can replace the battery anytime (even the earpads are replaceable). I intend to use this headset for few years without the worry of dying rechargeable lithium battery or when the battery decided to kill me mid-air. :p

        • What is the mini cable you are using there? All of the 2.5mm cables i have ordered have been too fat to fit into the QC25s.

          @porterble:

          The ebay shop is no longer selling the metal shell version but here is the alternative.

          Take a note on the description, the one you need would be 5.2mm diameter size shell plug.

          Edit: Oopsie, scratch that above. Me blind. They still sells em, in different sizes.

          Thanks. Much appreciated. Getting sick of a super long cable on the plane.

    • Where are these typical deals?

    • +2

      looks like it's about $100 cheaper than the "typical deal price" of the qc35s. if you dont mind the cable, $100 saving is pretty good

  • After the JB hifi Sony WH1000X headphones yesterday, all other deals feel expensive.

  • Comfortable. If you’re going to be using these on an airplane and plug them into the airline’s built in seat entertainment system they’re perfect.

    QC35’s use bluetooth but you’ll still need to use a cable on the plane.

    • Yup, come with the airplane adapter as standard.
