    Cheers mate

Mcdonalds strawberry shake has 12.1% sugar and the chocolate shake has 12.5% sugar.

    • +3

      Vanilla?

      • You disgust me.

        • -2

          Personally Macca's disgusts me more.

        • It's me mum's favourite.

      • 11.2%

    • Is that supposed to be surprising? I'm not sure whether that's the point haha

    • +15

I only drink 87% of the shake so I'm all good.

    • That's it?

    • +4

Chocolate is better value. Thank you.

    • +1

This genuinely surprised me. I thought it'd be more.

    • By weight yes. Thats a metric that is generally not used from a nutritional perspective though.

Nutritionally, 54% of the energy comes from sugar (for the chocolate shake).

I wish there was a coffee one (or the Coffee Frappe was included, could easily add 5-6kgs before the 4th)

    Usual price:

    • Small $3.60
    • Medium $4.10
    • Large $4.55

    prices may vary

    • Do they usually vary?

      • +1

        Maybe usually

      • Prices vary quite a bit (~50-60 cents) depending on location/franchisee.
More so with fries but probably with shakes as well.

      • Pitt St Mall Maccas aka big food court under the busker heaven across the Microsoft store etc was $4.70 for a large chocolate milkshake for me.

        So they do vary.

  • Can we use it more than once?

    • doesnt seem like it no

    • Yes, by typing in the code to the self serve kiosk rather than submitting the order through the app.

  • just one use :(

    • One use per account yes :P

    • One per account, so if you want more than 1 use on these maccaz offers, its very quick and easy to make another account.
Gmx.com email takes about 5 seconds.
Use new email to make maccaz account (about 1 minute) .
Then next time you want to use more than once, just log out app, log back in, new voucher is there ready to use.

      • +4

Or you can also just use the same email.
        [email protected] becomes:
        [email protected] > [email protected]

        • Yes, I have heard of that .
Does that work with everything ?
Does it work for Uber ?
I found uber didnt allow me to use gmx email, Im guessing because Uber is aware that gmx.com is often used as a 'disposable email' . I used an msn and uber worked straight away .

        • +1

@ozzpete: it works with almost everything, not sure if it works with Uber or not because it might go off your phone number (get around: use a burner sim)

        • +1

          @pennypincher98:
          Thanks.
Yes, I have plenty of free/cheap sims. Have plenty of burner phones also (if it goes off IMEI) .

        • +1

@ozzpete: Haha awesome!! Ozbargainer of the month right here ;)

  • Certainly not great, but for $2, these shakes are OK . Maybe worth $3 value.

  • +4

Good luck finding a maccas who's shake machine is working

    • -1

All of them? Your local franchise owners must be pretty crap.

      • I might just have the worst run of luck. So so so many have never got them working. I remember reading here there was a reason why but can't remember exactly why

  • +1

Wow … 1.7/5 on the Play store

    • +1

imagine if we could rate the internal ordering machines. 0.1/5

  • +3

Bought it. Drank it. My tummy hurts.

    • +1

But hey you saved money, right?

      • Yup! And that makes me happy.

  • Says $4.90 (large shake) subtotal on app with new account. How do you get it at $2?

    • +1

Go to “my rewards” at the bottom of main page, click the $2 shakes offer & apply to order

      • thanks, it says check back here for your rewards - will look tomorrow

  • The strawberry one is revolting, couldn't stomach it.

    • Did you have this at 1:45am or is that just the time you posted?
If you had it then, I think everything like that would be revolting and hard to stomach.

    • for thickshakes cut ANY flavour you choose with half vanilla.

  • +1

    Pfft, “shakes”.

You don’t know what you’re gettin’

    • +2

      Partially gelatinated non-dairy gum-based beverages?

  • +2

    Worst App

  • Any good alternatives or rivals to this in the fast food industry aka what are my good cheap options?

We need a thread on best and cheapest milkshakes in Australia me thinks.

  • Just asked in store at the Canberra Center and was told it had expired. Of course…it hasn't expired.
