Notification LED and B28 - watchnerd might have a wet dream.

  • +4

    No NFC?

    • +3

yeah NFC is a must have for me and rules out a lot of these otherwise great value phones :(

  • Will it arrive before I retire?

    • +11

:) will you retire in 2 months?

      • +4

So its gona take 2month. OK.

        • +2

free shipping normally 3-5 weeks, if you paid express shipping might more fast. but all our package will arrive in 2 months, if not, then must lost on the way. you can pm me to ask refund.

      • Don' tempt me!

  • +1

Wow. Thanks. Bought 1. Great value.

  • +5

If you don't mine not having B28. This one has dual cameras and bigger battery for the same price.

LeEco phones are great. I bought a fair few from LITB and they are great.

    • +1

this actually looks like a great phone, and it even has NFC which is something i need that rules out alot of chinaphones. but, multiple reviews stating choppy nfc and bluetooth connection behaviour puts me off…

      • +2

No headphone jack nor card slot

        • +1

It comes with a 3/5mm adaptor. No microsd is OK if you don't DL or save porn or music. 32/64 gig should be enough for everyday usage( games, apps and a few videos and music). Apple fans uses iPhones with only 16gig without a microsd slot and sell for 3 or4 times more than this phone. Their fans still praised Apple.

        • @HandsomeMonkey:
No pron kills it for me

        • @Icecold5000:

Stream it!! A Kogan plan with 23gig data per month should be enough.

    • color: pink?

    • Do you know if this model (x651) has NFC?

I've looked around and there are two versions, can't find anything that specifically mentions NFC on this variant.

      • +1

I don't think its has NFC on any of the them except Le Pro 3.

I think the differences between the three Le Pro 3 are

Le Pro 3 has SD821 CPU with NFC
Le Pro 3 x722 has SD820 CPU no NFC
Le Pro 3 AI X651 has MTK X23 CPU no NFC
Le Pro 3 AI X650 has MTK X27 CPU no NFC

  • +3

From the web site, does not show the 4G band B5 (850 MZ) (vodafone), but this post has 4G band B5, which one is correct ?

    • +3

Agree. The rep or op should sort this out. Lot's of Ozbargainers here using Voda and/or Kogan and lot's of those need that B5 4G band. I'm pretty sure it does not have it, but happy to be corrected.

      • +4

        It doesn't

        • +1

Banggood's description does include B5. Seems the one on LITB omits a fair bit, including 3G frequencies.

        • +1

"spy" Is your above answer that the Sharp Z2 does not have B5/850mHz 4G band going on checking one of these phones from LIB youself, or going off specs from website?

Comment from "etham" suggests it could have B5.

        • +1

@ozhunter68: I never copy frequencies from LITB as they're often incomplete. Banggood and GeekBuying are accurate with their frequencies.

        • @Clear:

Thanks for your response and correction. For me and others the B5 or B28 makes a difference between buying a phone or not. Now I'm really tempted to get one lol.

    • wondering how not having this will affect vodafone reception in metro areas? (gold coast)

      • Depending where you are/using your phone I would not recommend anyone getting any phone without B5 for the Vodafone network, and even no B28 for both Telstra & Optus as a Main Phone that you rely on for reliable service.

Because you are in the Gold Coast, this is even more important ( unless your usage happens to mainly be close to towers having the B1 and/or B3 4G bands operational.

id rather use a snapdragon 210 than that mediatek cpu

    • +1

You sure, that the SD 210 is Real Slow man.

    • +1

came to warn against mediatek too.
Overheating, random slowness, incompatibility with some opengl features (shitty gaming)

  • Great description, upvoted.

  • +1

Sounds like a great deal - reading up on it, most people complain about the camera and the battery heating up, but I assume this is fine for pensioners using it for the basics (emails, FB, messaging, no games, minimal youtube)??

    • +3

Correct. The CPU has a lot of power so if you're going to do a lot of gaming it will drain the battery in no time.

  • +5

Only $10 more at Banggood if you want it this year.

    • I find Banggoodto be slower that LITB. Just bought a phone from LITB and it came within 8 days including weekends.

  • So I take it Motorola and SHARP contract chinese companies to manufacture their mobile phones now?
Feels like these phones are actually all the same, using the same 2 processors and come standard with 5.5in no nfc and a fingerprint sensor
The pic of the SHARP phone basically looks like my Xiaomi at a similar price

    • +5

Motorola is owned by. Chinese company called Lenovo. Sharp is Japanese, but phones are manufactured in China… so I don't see the problem?

Helio X20 is a very capable and powerful SoC that costs very little compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon. For a phone this cheap it makes sense to use MediaTek.

This form factor is common because it sells well.

      • +6

Sharp is no longer Japanese, Foxconn bought them out who I believe are either Taiwanese or Chinese, either way they own the brand afaik

        • Yup Foxconn.

      • i used to have an x20, worked fine,

  • +6

    Is this a 4G/4G, 4G/3G or a 4G/2G SIM configuration?

  • if i didnt have a le eco s3 i'd get it

in fact if it falls any lower i may as well bag it as a 2nd phone

  • how much for the express shipping? I really want this phone

  • +1

I ordered it the first time it was posted and still haven't got it yet. What gives?

    • +1

I was just about to ask if anyone from earlier deals could give a review but I guess not

      • +2

You can't find cases or screen protectors for this phone. It's completely obscure, and no manufacturer of these things knows it even exists.

  • +3

Amazing that you can get a 1080p phone like this for the price, and I feel nostalgia for the "sharp" brand (my vcr is Sharp).

    Cons:
    Mediatek sucks
    No nfc
Android 6 ? (Again, mediatek sucks)

    • doesn’t matter so much about mediatek, it’s more is there an ota android 7 for this phone ?

  • +1

I have very bad experience with using mediatek powered phones for navigation.
How's the GPS performance on this phone?

    • +1

Reminds me of back in the day when Asus released the Zenfone 2 series. They released millions of them for sale with broken GPS chips and nobody was able to use them for navigation. Absolute joke.

      • Glad they fixed it..

I have a zenfone 3 and it's fantastic in every regard.

        • By moving to qualcom soc

  • +1

Just a warning to those looking at the Le S3 The software is horrendously slow. Either that or the CPU is shite or both.

  • Price was hiked to > $160 yesterday.

    • Exchange rate is still ~142ish. You shouldn't be paying in AUD on China sites as the rate is often inflated and the same applies to PayPal's exchange rate.

Many OzBargainers have a card without currency conversion fees setup to do its own conversion in PayPal. It's the easier way of getting close.

      • +2

        yeah, nah.

        was us$109

        now

        us$119.99

so price was hiked as already mentioned.

        • +1

Yup noticed that afterwards hence the expiry. I'm still right about the exchange rate though. It's $5 higher than the exchange rate.

  • Has anyone received it yet?
I've opened a support ticket then will be opening a PP dispute if they don't resolve.
Tracking shows it arrived in Australia 11 days ago and then NFD.
    Bit suss.

    • Received mine last week, but yet to open

      • Did you get shipping insurance? I'm a bit concerned now.

        • +1

Nah just standard shipping without insurance. I think it was due as late as may 4 if I recall correctly.

        • +1

@DamonT: thanks for your help 😃
