I've checked in store and they don't offer an extra 15-20% on the Halo. $99 is as cheap as you'll get it.
Bought and used in NZ trip last year, can vouch for the quality and warmth.
Is it overkill for Sydney winters?
I used it last winter and it was great. Didn't expect to use it much but it was super light and comfortable so I wore it quite a bit.
Will buy one for the wife this year.

They had $99 Halo versions in store with a hood. Maybe go down to your local store and confirm!
I bought a hooded Halo for around $130 last year. Definitely worth it
called sydney store they said the ones with hood have less discount %.
after disc price is still AUD 160-ish.There is one more version, same warmth(fill weight 166g) but lighter and better fit than Halo for women. extra 20% in store make it to $112.
