Kogan Agora 8 4G LTE - $139 + Delivery @ Kogan (HK)

110

Got an email from Kogan offering their 200 dollar budget phone for 140. I actually recently finally upgraded from my beloved Nexus 5 (not that I really needed to, but anyway) so I'm good, but I thought it was a pretty decent deal for what you're getting, 2GB ain't a tonne of RAM but it's still more than anything else I've seen being sold for 140 by an Australian business with Australian warranty, and not too much fear of it blowing up in your pocket. I think with a finger print sensor, 13MP camera, and expandable storage (what happened to this being on every damn phone?) it's pretty alright for what's basically a budget phone price. Anyway, go gawk at the specs

Android 7.0 Nougat
5” 2.5D Dragontrail Glass screen
Fingerprint sensor
Large 2400mAh battery for all-day power
Quad-Core processor
2GB RAM
13MP rear camera with autofocus
Expandable storage up to 128GB^
4G LTE connectivity
Dual SIM (2G+4G, SIM 2 is 2G only)* (AKA it's really only a one SIM phone in Oz)

No idea when the deal ends unfortunately, but I'll update this post if and when I see it happen.

Does this have a notification led?

I check every phone post for this comment.

    • Hahaha every damn post

    • I hope so.

      • what about the B28 bandwagon?

        • Isn't that a necessity?

        • +1

Spec sheet says it got you covered.

          4G Network LTE: B1/B3 (1800) / B7(2600) / B5(850) / B8 (900) / B28 (700)

Don't know about the led, but it has notification screen :)

      • not sure why the bid deal about notification led, usually now it's on the screen as phones have less space for dedicated LED.

Use a $50 voucher and its very good for the price.

    • how?

      • +3

Ebay has $50 vouchers for $10 or so.

        • Will check thanks

        • Link, the vouchers are confusing-fail on my part.

        • @sn809:
I know the vouchers have to be applied at checkout rather than adding them as credit on the account, but how many vouchers can be used, can we theoretically buy this phone for $36? (the cost of the vouchers)

        • +2

@caleb2003: You can only use one evoucher per purchase. That means you can apply one '$50 off $120 purchase' for this. So if that voucher costs you $10, you get an extra $40 discount.

        • @w02m08w: Oops didn't see your message until it was too late. Did work for the $30 and $20 plus a further $20 credit I had previously applied as credit (wrongly) so cheap phone

        • +1

@caleb2003: The $30 and $20 works as well because that '$50 off $120' voucher comes in 2 vouchers: one $30 and one $20 vouchers…

        • @w02m08w: Can we stack them then for a 1000 tv?

        • +1

@sn809: No. Max of $50 only, if I'm not mistaken.

        • @w02m08w: yes you are correct.

I have heaps of $20 (min spend $100) vouchers selling for just $4. Therese codes are stackable with $30 codes which you can buy separately.

  • How much internal storage?

    • 16GB according to the specs.

Got it for $100.79 ($139+$9+$12.79 (for $50 Voucher)-$50-$10 (New Account through Referral). Now will wait and see how good of a phone this one is for that money..

    • Thanks for the tip with the referral. I got it for $88.99 ($139+$9.99 (for $50 Voucher)-$50-$10(referral). Postage was free with free shipster trial.
