I'm not really sure what you saw but I'm pretty sure pizza ingredients literally everywhere is normal for every busy pizza shop.
You clean it up at the end of the night.
I've worked in a Pizza shop in my younger days and we never left the work place with pieces strewn everywhere.
Also, this place due to it location and setup has the work space visible from 2 sides (front on, and side footpaths), so they should keep it as clean as possible. They're never busy and each time I've walked by there are 2-3 guys/girl standing there chatting with each other whilst the work area is left with pieces of ingredients all over the area.
Overpriced anyway. Very mediocre "pizza".
Guess it depends on store. The Wollongong branch mostly does fantastic pizza.
There is a crust pizza near where I live but every single time I've walked past their store (100+ times by now), I'm left disgusted by how dirty & unclean their work area is.
The pizza prep bench (White stone, marble? in full view) of all passing by the shop (on a corner so windows on two sides) is always full of pieces of ingredients from whatever pizza they were working on. I can't understand how difficult it is for them to keep a 2m x 70cm bench clean at all times. Instead they all seem quite happy to stand back and chat leaving the bench in a horrid state.
When they first opened I gave them the benefit of doubt but every time I've walked by the place, its been in the same state of disarray.
