Hey all. Saw this hedge trimmer kit at bunnings hoppers crossing, Vic on sale. Price not the same on website so could he here only. This kit is normally $129 I believe, and the trimmer skin in normally $89, so great value at this price.
I have this and it works great on trimming branches up to about 1.5cm thick.

@terrywang: There's plenty (1.5Ah for $50) at Rydalmere. They're not on the shelf, but sitting on a trolley in the same aisle (gardening tools).
@dcash: I asked the staff there twice and they said no such thing / promotion (so frustrated). I didn't remember seeing a trolley, maybe I wasn't paying much attention. Will check back tomorrow if I have time…
@terrywang: The trolley was down the end of the gardening tools aisle (the end closest to the centre of the store, not the front; and easily missed because it isn't near the Ozito section) and loaded up with them — so highly unlikely they sold them all. There was no mention of price but was indeed $50 at the register. Bunnings staff can, unfortunately, be a little hit and miss.
@dcash: Got 1, there were 3-5 left at around 11am. They were in the next aisle to Ozito/Ryobi 18V One+ stuff aisle which is tricky to find. I failed to find it by myself again, happened to overhear someone else after the same thing, got lucky.
Confirmed $50 at Rydalmere. Plenty of stock as of 11am.

Yeah they should price match. Just show them the photo of the discount and they normally match it. I did that once for another clearance item which had a didn't price from another store.
Genuine question from an obvious non-gardener: can a reciprocal saw with a longish blade make-do as a hedge trimmer?
I only literally only have a couple of plants where you're meant to use a hedge trimmer, but more potential uses for a reciprocal saw (like small tree branches).
I have neither tool atm btw.
don't think so, the hedge trimmer has stationary blades that the reciprocating blades slice against. like scissors.
Not really. I have both and basically the reciprocating saw will saw wood and the hedge trimmer will snip leaves and thin twigs. The reciprocating saw is worth getting.

Bunnings in SA were willing to match the last ozito product that popped up on ozbargain. They just need to see a photo with the price and need to know which store in which state had the price.
