      "Am I taking crazy pills"
      "Can't anyone see it"
      "It's all the same look!"

      Listen to me!

Well, duh! I know that info would be on the product page, but key information like that should be mentioned in the product description here without needing to click on links.

Ive found cables like these to be very poor in quality. They need to be connected in a certain way to produce a sound, if not nothing comes out. Very finnicky

    • +1

      Plugging them in helps!

  • +3

These are garbage. I had 3 of these and chucked them out. Sound dropped in and out with constant with pops and clicks when listening to anything.

    Not even worth 45c

So that's where that surplus NBN fibre went …
      :P

Sure you weren't just listening to house music?

OP, any deals with a 3.5mm audio jack adapter integrated on one end, for use with an apple router? The adapter itself it $4; https://www.zapals.com/toslink-to-mini-3-5mm-audio-jack-conv…

    • I just tried now and can still apply

  • Just worked fine for me too. Did you sign in?

Agreed. Stuffs from zapal are very low in quality sometimes close to rubbish. Very funny to think that we bringing something far from China just to end up in our landfills.

    • +3

Made from recyclable materials that we sent over to China

    • The cable might be made by the rubbish we sent to China. Since you don’t like it, don’t order and leave it to others whom want.

Ozbargain keeps getting flooded with these cheap junk items. Where do we draw the line? We don't go into our local $2 shop and post up the shit they're selling there onto Ozbargain.

I've had purchases from Zapals never even arrive. And at this stage, I'm convinced that they do it on purpose. They probably realise not many people can actually be bothered chasing up a 20c item that they didn't really need in the first place. So if they don't send out a few orders here and there, they can get away with it.

  • Our rubbish/waste being dumped back here :D
    Crap! mostly low quality

    • Plus we are buying these recycled bargains 😂 Sad times

I've thought of a new name for these Chinese cheapies. Garbain. A bargain, but garbage when you get it.

    • +1

No, that would be Barish - bargain that turns to rubbish.

      • +2

Bargunk - a bargain that turns out to be junk.

        • +1

I like Barjunk (slightly different to your Bargunk, which could be mispronounced ;)).

A Bargain that turns into Junk on arrival.

  • I paid 100x as much to buy one of these from jb hifi back when I got my Xbox 360

    Nice, cheers

I bought an SPDIF cable from these guys not too long ago. As also commented above, the cable was notoriously unreliable. It would have to be bent a certain way to work, and my guess the reflective properties inside are well below spec. Threw it away. It's not even worth the 45c folks… don't waste your money :(.
