Coupled with the free shipping on orders over $50 and the $15 off essentials deals makes a pretty cheap way to get good quality toilet paper (homebrand usually runs about 12c /100 sheets so this is still marginally more but the quality is obviously much better)

Makes exactly $50, less the $15 for essentials and free shipping = $35 for 120 rolls (it's cheaper this way per sheet than doing 2 of the larger size)

Please note that it won't show the $15 discount until you get to the confirmation stage of the check-out.

Everyone goes through toilet paper so it's a no brainer really.

  • Not showing as free shipping for me - $5.99 delivery. I'm guessing the total after the $15 off needs to be above $50…

***Edited to say that free shipping needs to be selected as the shipping method - it preselects paid delivery****

  • Thank you that was a great deal.

  • -1

The 40 pack is sold out, so deal only works for 2 X 72 packs, working out at about 31 cents per roll.
Now, if only they arrive when my wife isn't around. Otherwise I'm in the poo.

    • Just tell her you cleaned up…

      • Exactly why you bought so much toilet paper.

  • -3

The 48 pack is sold out, because the Ozb community blindly listened to the OP, who claimed it was cheaper to do it that way.

    However - maths is not T Man's strongpoint…. lol

    • +1

48/72 = $20/$30 which means that you if you buy any quantity of any size it's the same price per roll. OP was assuming most people don't need 144 rolls which is going to only just fit in most toilets, so he suggested one small and one large pack and still enable us to get the discount. Thanks I bought two large ones.

      • +3

apologies …. terrible maths by me. Sorry T-man!

        • +4

I was trying to get as close to $50 as possible because $15 off $50 is better than $15 off $60. I think my maths was on point :)

        • +1

@T Man: Correct. You were thinking a step ahead of just the 'per roll' pricing to save more. True OzBargainer spirit that is.

For AGL customers who have registered their email address for reward program, there was an email from them that contained 10% off coupon code for Amazon Australia. I used the coupon for 2x 72 rolls with free shipping and $15 off promotion. I ended up paying $39 for 144 rolls.

    Not bad, huh?

So check your email my fellow AGL customers. lol.

    • That's a shitload of TP

      • +1

Have an upvote to counter that who gave u the down vote!

    Get ALDI hypoallergenic for $0.12.

    • This is the only toilet paper out of Kleenex and Sorbent that you don't need to quadruple over so your fingers don't end wiping the poo, which is a refreshing change for my fingers.

      • +1

haha i thought everyone doubles up.

      • +1

I find tripling up a good compromise between cost effectiveness and finger safety personally

        • It really depends how much splashback occurs

    • +1

Woolworths home brand for the same price is also good

    • It is no different from the home brand tissues of Coles and Woolies. I can't differentiate between them all and all three cost exactly the same.. i.e. 12 cents per 100 sheets.

      • Woolworths yes. Coles is $0.17 but is tested higher (pretty high). Isn't Aldi's one the only hypoallergenic one?

        • You have been missing $0.12 one in Coles then. Their lowest range/ home brand is $0.12/100 sheets for sure. I don't really care about 'hypoallergenic' tag as I haven't seen any difference.

          Here you go: https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-national/product/coles-white-t…

        • @virhlpool: thanks. That's the one but when in a 6 pack it's $0.17. nice, I'll be going with that from now on. Cheers

  • I tried getting 48 rolls too but too late. hahaha

    • Read the comments above.

      • yeah I realised that after I made my 2x72 rolls purchase.

        Hahahaha

  • How its compared to costco or buying with woolies ebay voucher… I dont find it a bargain or if you have a garage to keep it.

    • How to buy tissues with Woolies eBay vouchers?

Also, pls note that Woolies don't sell discounted (10%) eBay vouchers very regularly.

  • +1

    Sold out

  • Both sizes now sold out.

A bit strange that nowhere in the listing does it say how many sheets per roll, hopefully these aren't short rolls for those that ordered.

  • Make sure you don’t keep bulk toilet paper in your bathroom. It starts breaking down from showers etc happening in the room.

    • +2

I'm usually pretty good with my aim. A stray splash or two, but I wouldn't call it a shower.

    • Ive never noticed that happening. Have long periods of high humidity up here and i buy bulk.

  • +2

I find Kleenex to be weak and breaks down in use. It's not pretty.

  • 'Complete clean'… As opposed to the incomplete cleanliness obtained from their competitors' products? I'd think technique may be somewhat responsible for cleanliness & completeness, in addition to product choice.

Unless you can just wave a square of this in the general vicinity of your bum, & off you go - no skid-marks! Because if that's the case, I may consider ditching Quilton & changing brands after all. LOL

  • Hey im glad ozb'ers sold this out as its cheap but just chiming in with my 2c that kleenex is the worst TP there is. It pills and leaves nasty ass tp in your arse.

      • How utterly bizarre.

      • +1

It left me on a cliff hanger, have a link to the next episode??

    • Completely agree. It's like they've favoured 'softness' over practicality.
Quilton gets the role in our house.

    • My toilet paper doesn’t go in, just over. Mayhaps you’re doing it wrong.

  • Wish I didn't feel like a piece of shit whenever I don't buy recycled toilet paper, I'd save marginally more money.

  • +4

    use bidet
    much cleaner thn paper

    • Totally agree. Not sure how the use of tissues was started and how it was believed that it cleans it better than water! Beyond my understanding..

    • But how to dry…after using bidet? You’ll need a piece of paper or a tower, so paper is more convenient.

  • Toilet paper is one of those things in this world that you CAN'T have too much of.

But all toilet papers aren't equal. It's a good idea to know upfront what you are buying in bulk.

Plus one for bidets, but I'd be using toilet paper before I squatted over a bidet to finish off.

Which reminds of a time years ago when I was out bush and needed to use a country outhouse dunny, and the toilet paper was a phone book hanging on a bit of fencing wire. Needless to say, there was no bidet to follow up with.

    • Where in country that was? May want to make a visit :)

  • ‘Complete clean' would imply these are baby wipes…. in the world of Terrence Howard.

  • +1

    both are now not available

  • back in stock, just did the order!
    cheers!

    • need to find out if my costco has it cheaper coz i normally buy it when its on sale there :)

  • now i have eliminated my fear of running out of toilet paper while i do number two and can poop in peace! this post deserves 'two' likes ;)

  • Why pay for toilet paper when you can resupply from office

    • we don't have kleenex at work lol you must work for google? our work has those long massive 1 ply thin rolls which don't need replacing after 2000 asses need to be wiped from shit ahaahaah

  • Is the material same as paper towels?

  • Cheers got 120 rolls for $35

  • +1

    https://goo.gl/bQL8oq 32x5=160 rolls but cost you $12x5-$15=$45

    • Thanks for this. I ordered 5 packs of 32 as well for a total of $45. Great deal at $0.28/roll

  • Thanks op. Cracking deal
