Agree. The LG IPS screens are not the best in the dark.
Cheers
we have two of these, one in the lounge and the other in the kids gaming room. the gaming room can be pitch black, not ever seen this kind of discolouration. The one in the lounge sits in a room often filled with sunlight and at night it's also dark and I dont seem to have the bleed issues.
the only actual problem/grip i have with the tv is the remote. fking wiimote nonsense and voice commands are not what oldies like myself want to have to deal with, changing channel with the program + and - keys is all fun and games until you bump the remote and the on screen cursor starts bouncing around.
will try and get some pics up later
LG is well known for its bad quality control. If you are lucky you get the good batch, otherwise it's worse than no name brands.
Deal has EXPIRED
Would avoid this model. Friend purchased one; the first one had severe backlight bleed. The retailer replaced it with another, the backlight bleed is better but the backlighting remains atrocious. You'll see what I mean when you see the images linked
