DJI Mavic Pro Platinum for $1359.20 (HK) @ Shopping Square on eBay

20
PREWINTER

Been cheaper but I'm more pissed that I bought my 2nd Mavic Pro approx 2 months ago for $1200.
Good value if your buying.
I've owned 2 grey imports without issue (other than my abusive crashes. Never paid import taxes or duties.

Here's the Fly more pack for $1720

And me exercising the dog. And yes she catches it a few times.

Last one I dumped in the sea. 2nd still going although I lost it last week for 24 hrs (returned to home on flat battery and landed 40 metres away from take off)
Currently insured and looking forward to my next destroy.

  • IMO this is a better deal, if that's the kind of machine you're looking for: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/361477

    • Thanks bud. Info I have is the mavic air isn't even close to the same class. Lots sent back.
More of a Spark than a Mavic Pro is my research.
Everyone to their own though but I would really do some bigger research. Mine come from Pro Drone reviewers.

      • Interesting perspective - the reviews I've seen have been overwhelmingly positive. The only real downsides I've seen are a shorter flight time and reduced tolerance to wind.

PS how on earth do you crash a Mavic? They pretty much fly themselves.

        • Lots of flying in sports mode so sensors working. Easy to crash.
PLUS I fly pretty risky I guess.
Good fun with the dog too and she gets it every now and then. (One time she pulled the camera out of the gimble…
Plus flying over the sea has its risks
Anyway is what I do. Just hurts buying the replacement.

  • "currently insured and looking forward…"

Nice, mind if I ask who insures it? I'm looking at getting one soon and am looking into all aspects drone related

  • Hi bud. This is off the top of my head so you need to double check.

My insurance is from DJI and can be bought from their site.
Price was $169 I think for mavic pro, bit more for Platinum
    For 1 year
    1st replacement is $139
    2nd replacement is $199
There is no 3rd so a big FU.

You must present the damaged drone (bit scary as I think most issue are lost drones)

You must insure within days of registing the DJI or doesn't apply.

That should cover most of the basics. If you find that it isn't exact to what I said just correct me.I think I'll review it on a video on our channel as does help.

    Pretty sure I've covered all.

Here is another drone footage I took. Nearly got wiped out with a storm on the boat.

I'm a bit rough though. Gotta learn the film making better
