Tontine Anti-Bacterial Pillows 2pk $10 (RRP $24) @ Woolworths

870

Saw these at my local store and realised that no one had posted this deal - Tontine Pillows at a better than half price in Woolworths (sold for $24 earlier, then $12 and now at $10). I assume it is a nation-wide deal.

Some product details:

  • Cotton polyester cover
  • UltraFibre filling
  • Machine washable
  • Anti-bacterial protection

      pillows are like mattresses

      very subjective preference

i'm using one and prefer it over the dunlopillo lalateytex

    • Coulda taken it back for a refund but ok.. mind u all these tontiene pillows are all the same.. just labeled differently. Some might have bit more stuffing then others which classify it as firm - soft. It’s just a pillow at then of the day.

    • +1

Have to say I agree with this. Bought these exact pillows last time they were posted, absolute rubbish quality. Sorry OP.

    • I found the Target dual core foam pillows to be good surprisingly.

    • +1

I couldnt even use them once, if these arent the worst pillows ever made, I would like to visit Gitmo and see what they offer the prisoners.

  • Anti-Bacterial

    Does this affect spermatozoon?

    • +9

Doesnt say spermicidal so assume you are safe

Although not sure how they landing on your pillow ? Better aim required ?

      • I always wake up covered in sweat and with the pillow jammed between my legs.

        That's why I prefer latex.

These are the absolute flattest pillows ever. So much so that I preferred my 2 year old pillow or so that was actually made to support your head.

But I guess, stuffing both of them in a pillow case isn't the worst idea apart from the fact the filling isn't all that great.

These are the absolute flattest pillows ever.

Agree, after one use they become flat as a pancake.

Threw mine out and bought Dunlop memory foam, best thing ever.

      • And latex !

Flat pillows are good for stomach sleepers

By the pillow that suits, not the wrong pillow and then complain about it

Buy the pillow that suits, not the wrong pillow and then complain about it.

That is such a narrow minded statement. How am I supposed to know which pillow will best suit me without trying the thing out? I bought an anti-bacterial pillow due to an eye infection. Didn't know it would sink to almost nothing after the first night.

Btw - squeezing/feeling the pillow does about nothing in relation to whether it will support your head or not.

You gotta lay down in the aisle at Woolies.

      • Flat pillows are good for stomach sleepers

I realise there's different pillows for different sleeping positions, but these things are almost like having no pillow they're so flat.

        • Good to know.

I spent 20 years with my pillow beside the bed at night. Something changed, started getting bad neck/shoulders.
Got broad shoulders, and rarely sleep on my back. Effectively, no pillow suits.
I started forcing myself (ie relaxing) in healthier positions, so it’s mostly ironed-out. But i have a thin firm pillow, and medium firm pillow nearby. Kinda alternate, based on the previous night’s sleep.

          Clunky, i know.

these are alright for all the sub contract jobs… when the annoying in laws come and you don't want them staying longer than one night, slap these babies on the spare bed, job done mate.

Have you had any yet or it's all just in planning?

      • +3

        Just forward thinking

      Leave in the morning?

      Too late!

      • When it is Yoga time. :)

  • Are they really that bad?

    • No, they are very flat though. It's as if they somehow absorb moisture over time.

I find mine comfortable, but that's because I'm strictly a one pillow guy.

  • +2

    I thought tontines were illegal..

    • Lol.. Tontines are pro'ly illegal but the pillows are not.

    • +1

Wow you learn something new everyday. I didn't know there was an investment mechanism called tontine.

  • You should buy a buckwheat hull pillow.

Lord Vader : < breathing > I have found this name ..very unpleasant ..
Commander : all canons are set my lord!

  • 'Anti bacterial' by spraying the pillow with harmful chemicals no doubt. I'll take the scary bacteria thanks.

    Don't waste your money

  • Is this pillow firm?

    • +2

Lately tontine pillows have been crap..
      So get the latex pillow.
if you cant afford the big brand, get the kogan latex to try on first.
      $70 for 4 after voucher +referrals

  • Don't waste your money guys, this pillow loses its bulk quickly and feels like you are sleep on your pillow case without any filling.

  • Anti bacterial and anti sleep
