  For those that do not know what Gold bottle cap do:

  You can trade a Gold Bottle Cap to Mr Hyper to maximise one 6IV (individual value) pokemon.

  If you don't know what IV is, and want to know, read on.

  Pokemon has gotten way more complicated compared to Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal days.

  Each Pokemon stats are randomly generated on top of their base stat (HP,Attack,Defence, Special Attack, Special Defence, Speed) given by a value between 0-31 (referred to as IV). This means that a pokemon assigned with 31(IV) on attack will have 31 more attack than a Pokemon that is assigned with 0 (IV) at level 100. This won't matter unless you play competitive and people breed to have at least 5 max IVs (31 on 5 stats). This can take a long time and the Gold Bottle Cap bypass it all.

  So when is it most useful? When you have a Shiny Pokemon (a pokemon with a variant colour which appears 1 in 4096) and want to use it for competitive. This means that you don't have to keep breeding to have both Shiny Pokemon that also have 5 max IVs.

  If there are people out there like myself ie haven't really played pokemon since gen 1 or 2 - feel free to hit by pm with your friend code.

  It be awesome having 1 real person on my DS friend list, and be even better if they are newer than I. Can offer a few breeding starters or something.

  As I have UM, S, US - I'm gonna be getting a few of these legendary things after game resets

  So if anyone managed to get a few spare codes from last months give away - I"d happily trade for them. I missed out on that promotion. entirely.

  Can also help with filling your dex so you don't have to bugger round with wonder trade like did so you can start shiny hunting earlier!
