  As a regional customer you pretty much HAVE to use Telstra. Optus and Vodafone are useless.

      I agree with this. Optus is always improving. I do some work for a company that has a number of very remote sites, with no ADSL or NBN available (except for NBN satellite in some of them, which is horrible).
      Telstra 4G is expensive. Optus 4G is the only viable option, and it works well in all of these areas. You can get a 140GB data sim for about $70/month, which, considering the lack of options, is pretty good and more than enough for their needs.
      They do have the occasional outage, but it isn't often.

  I live rurally and have access to none of the providers but as we speak, Optus is constructing a tower on a hill near me :)

    Where i live the reception with all companies is bad. Optus was the best and they have recently installed a new tower close by…..but now the phone reception is terrible. There is less signal and very unreliable signal. Sometimes 2 or 3 bars and nothing happens. And it is constant.

    I used to be able to load webpages in one part of the house, now, even outside it hardly ever works

    You need to port to either Telstra or Vodafone network. Get a $2 SIM from Coles/Woolies/Anywhere and port in the morning during business hours.
