Temporary/additional Shower While Renovating single Bathroom

Hi guys, we are about to start a renovation of our bathroom after much delay. It’s a single bathroom house (we do have an additional toilet in laundry), so need a shower solution for the Reno period. We are a family of 4 including 2 kids aged 5 and 1. Would like to get everyone’s thoughts on any suggestions. As colder weather is around the corner we need the solution to be able to supply hot water.

As additional info our hot water is supplied by a Rinnai instant heater which is located close to the back yard.

Looking at options for a temporary in the backyard or permanent low cost in the Garage kind of options, but open to all ideas.

Mount this upside down and you’ll be right

    • Something along these lines will likely give you the best trade off between cost and function. Just make sure it does hot and cold water and then have your plumber rig up temporary piping.

      • I THINK the one i linked to, has a simple garden hose connector and inbuilt gas water heater

        • Used one of these years ago and you're right. Worked well.

  • Take the kids out to the local pool and have your showers there.

    • yeah i was gonna suggest family wait outside 24hr gym.. follow someone in and use showers there

  • We hired a portable bathroom (shower/basin/toilet) and the company installed it under our carport. Tiles, toilet, etc all take time to dry before use and in the scheme of things (I think it was about $100 or so for a week) it did't add much to the whole cost.

  • camping shower, portable shower will provide you with the results you want.

Otherwise family/friends/office for showers or gym :)

  • Ask your neighbours if you can use theirs…

  • damn it too late for camping shower

  • Check for bargains on baby wipes.

  • How water proof is the laundry toilet room? Use that room as the shower room? Line the walls with shower curtains, and use one of those shower head hose spray connected to the tap…

    • good call. What could possibly go wrong?
