Vostok Portable Air Conditioner $199 (10,000 BTU), $259 Reverse Cycle (12,000 BTU) Plus Delivery ($35) @ Kogan

60

As summer comes to an end the prices on air-conditioning gets slashed.

Not sure if shipster free shipping works on bulky appliances.

Small size air conditioning for smaller rooms. These units are going to be loud and will require window kits to be attached for them to work optimally.

  • The 10,000 BTU is slightly cheaper on their eBay store with the code PICK5 for $195.66 shipped. The 12,000 BTU is also slightly cheaper at $254.66 shipped

    • Yes.
Can also utilise the "pizza coupons" if you have them

      • Yea was going to edit my comment to include this part. If you don't have the $50 off $120 vouchers, you probably won't be able to purchase any vouchers today as it's the last day for them to be used. Can't see any listed on eBay so the classifieds page may be an option. The $20 off $100 vouchers are still available though

        Kogan do pizzas?

  • Do these even work?

    • Yes, but you need to run the hot exhaust pipe to an outside window, then sit directly in front of the cool airflow, and they're kinda noisy. But had one for many years in a rental that got up to 45 degrees in summer and it was a life saver.

      • Yes very loud. Perfect for playing games with headphones on or trying to sleep on a hot night when drunk.

      • They definitely don't cool the place down like a proper AC, but as someone who has one and also lives in an apartment that gets scorching in summer, they take the edge off, and for once, it's cooler inside my place than out during those hot days. I wouldn't wear a jumper with one on though! But yes, the coolest air is right in front, then it drops off a cliff (but does bring the average temperature down).
They're not perfect, but they certainly are worth the price (maybe not electricity bills!)
