    I did a little checking and it looks like it's meant to head to head with megaboom. If that's the case, the price for the Sony xb40 is really cheap

  Dammit- just bought the XB30 last week! Friggin amazing speaker. Bass reproduction terrific. Sounds almost identical to the XB30, but doesn't go as lowd.

  Sounds way better than the JBL Charge 3- which is supposedly in the same 'class'

  it looks like prices are plumetting to make way for the xb31/41

  apparently these will be USB chargeable and not AC only

      not sure, but the leds extend to the side, it looks pretty good,
      not sure about anything else, the tech specs are too tehcnical for me

      XB31 is fully waterproof and has a durable fabric finish similar to JBL Charge 3. Slightly better sound too, supposedly.

  Hmm I have a brand new boxed XB30 I might return (paid $110) and wait for the XB31… Would be good to have fully waterproof.
