When Should I Stop My ADSL Service?

I'm moving from Optus ADSL service to belong broadband who are saying "We'll connect your service on Friday, 02 March 2018"

When should I ring Optus to stop the service whilst minimising the time without internet?

As soon as Belong is working, not before.

What broadband technology is Belong providing?

If it's also ADSL, then it's most likely being delivered on the same physical wire as the Optus ADSL, so you'll lose the Optus ADSL when Belong enable theirs.

  Yes - but you will still get charged by optus for the service they don't provide.

Considering Belong, is it good? Telstra keep (profanity) me around and it's driving me insane, $80 a month im paying to these (profanity) and i've had to resort to my mobile 4g for 2 days now because there is something wrong with the modem i believe.

Local network is fine, Internet doesn't work. I would buy another router but I cannot be (profanity).
