I guess this router needs no introduction. Good bargain with the current ebay tech sale.

i think this range has been superceeded y their VR range of modem routers ……
Doesn't work on NBN VDSL :(
Does it work on NBN anything? I put an ADSL modem/router unused, unopened in the box in the garbage last week. I couldn't find anyone who wanted it- not even op shops.
Yes, a router can be used for NBN FTTP, just not FTTN
but yeh you get the point, adsl2+ modems are becoming obsolete.
It can also be used as a router/WiFi with a VDSL modem (usually supplied by the RSP)
Cheaper here with PICK5 code and extra 15% off at checkout

Yea, got to a D9 for about $103 delivered.
Thanks have posted it as a separate deal.
Not a recommended modem, the 5ghz band consistently drops out 4-5 times a day and requires a hard reboot to fix it. This is a common hardware issue amongst the series and updating firmware wont do anything. Luckily I was still on warranty so returned it for a full refund and upgraded to a Dlink Taipan
I also experience this. Avoid.
I raised an issue with their support team and got sent a beta firmware version which supposedly addresses this - haven't noticed any issues since then. Prior to this it was a huge pain, the whole router would just randomly freeze up and require a hard reboot to fix.
Allegedly some of the google cast stuff was causing the issue.
Link please?
Note they asked for my firmware version before providing this so I'm not sure how compatible it will be.
Ive contacted Support they provided me with a beta firmware, didnt do anything for me. Same issue
I has this issue as well. Used the beta firmware from the Whirlpool thread, and haven't experienced the issue once since then.
Link for those interested.
See my comment here
The issue has supposedly been resolved through updates to Google Play Services / Homes / Chromecast and what not, and there is a beta firmware from TP-Link. But I got rid of mine already. There's better routers to be had at this price.
Too bad the rest of their shit is all jacked up
