I was just looking around for some Tims and although they didn't have the black colour I wanted, I think this is a pretty decent price for them delivered!

Just keep in mind that Kogan does not accept refunds/exchanges for selecting the incorrect size

Please check the size chart and select carefully as we do not offer exchanges or refunds due to incorrect size selection.

It is normally recommended to order one size down when purchasing these boots, but it may vary for each person.

    If you're concerned about this but still want to purchase it, then you're better off purchasing this item from their website with this method;

    1. Purchase a $50 off $120 Kogan voucher from eBay or the classifieds page.
    2. Create a new Kogan account via this page to get $10 in credit.
    3. Make sure you have signed up to Shipster with the same email, so you can get free shipping. (Shipping is already free for this product, but just in case they remove free shipping later on.

Cheapest voucher I can see posted is for $7.99 so the total cost should be $76.99 shipped (129+7.99-50-10)

Clearly doesn't know the difference between Timberland's and Timberlake…

  • I've not seen roll-top boots before - is it a fashion thing, or do they have an advantage in some other way?

    • My guess is that its a fashion thing, can wear them rolled or not I think. I'm more of a fan of palladium roll tops though. It may also make putting on the boots easier (picking at straws for functionality bonuses!).

      • Thanks. I was wondering if it was something like "They're boots when you need them to be, shoes when you don't" dual-purpose footwear. I like boots, but they can feel awfully hot during summer.

They look interesting, I'll try them out next time I need new boots. It looks like they solve one of the problems I have with boots - most boots have a vinyl cuff, and it wears out before the rest of the boot does. Looks like the roll-tops don't have a vinyl cuff.

  • Wish they had the black ones!!!

    • So did I :( but this colour is pretty popular too so thought I'd post it!

Make sure you don't tie the laces up and always wear these with your fav pair of chinos and cut out side singlet, couple with a giants hat to complete the douchebaggery look.

Have you ever done manual labour? Just asking…

Lol, only my whole adult life. Never seen any bloke wearing timberlands on site, at camp, at the trade shows…

I do however see them wearing them at the local Westfield, pop-up cafes and at the clubs.

I personally wear Oliver's or 5.11 tactical, I prefer durable and practical boots that are designed to have the tongues tucked away and laces done up. I bet you would disagree and suggest me some doc martin's as another suitable choice of on the job footwear.

        • Fair enough- the most comfy I have worn were Cats but for work, especially welding, laces weren't an usually option as I want a boot that comes off quickly if there is any chance of hot slag resting on the woollen sock. I'd look at these if I was still in consideration for clearing tracks, working across a large construction site or on a station tho, as the reason the bogans like them means you can walk, track and climb in a lot more comfort than I would ever expect from Olivers or Kings [another common 'handout' boot].
I'm keeping an eye out for steel-cap chemical resistant hush-puppies :-/

  • I think I might order some. Size down by 1-1.5 people say? That would mean a 10-9.5 for me. No returns for wrong sizing eh. The roll top is in 10 and the normal boot is in 9.5. I kind of like the roll tops, but reddit MaleFashionAdvice trashed the roll tops…

    • For me when I tried them in store it was 1 size down (ie. sneakers normally 10)

      • Doesn't matter, I couldn't get eBay to accept my cards so I couldn't buy it in time anyway. I measure a size US 11 (measuring closest size up from heel to toe on biggest foot) but I think I generally fit a 10.5, so I had finally settled on 9.5. Now I wonder if it's worth paying $130 from Kogan itself..

I used to work for Caterpillar in their London head office in th e90s. it was interesting to see how they purchased the parts/components for the manufacturing of the boots.

eyelets would come from China, soles from Bulgaria, Laces for Tanzania, etc, etc. quite the international shoe.
