  • Any chance we can upgrade our 180 day plans to the 360 day plan? Bought 2 but have not activated either yet (SIM card not arrived in the mail yet)

    • -2

You can still purchase 360 days plan and it will be stacked to the 6 months plans if you like. Thats not a problem at all. For your mail order, please PM your order number and we can check progress.

    • But why would you bother when the two 180's stack anyway?

  • I have just bought two new sim cards. Can I activate this service on those sim cards?

    • Yes you can. If it is a $2.00 sim card then this plan will start straight away. If it is a preloaded sim you have got then this long term plan will stack to the 30 days plan. Either case you will need to apply the voucher pin to your account after activation which you will receive in response to your order for this long term plan

      • Activated the Sim, Moved my number to Lebara. then made an order on the website for a plan. but the website customer says voucher will come in 24 hours. :(

        • Please PM your order number and I will have a look.

Come On FFS Just do 365 days. Tight Arses.

    • Lol @ the neg, I wonder who that was from lol

  • +9

Come on OP, What we want is $180 for 360 days deal! like this or that

    • Yes.

    • I'd buy that

      • +2

Yes many are waiting for $180 for 360 days superb deal

    • +10

We've added a lot of international calling value since those days. This plan now has $60 credit included plus unlimited to 12 countries. Sadly I don't think I can get finance to go lower with the new plans.

I know you're thinking about how many KFC hot-wings or Eneloops you can get for $11 but this is still a great deal.

      • You mention $60 credit included is that monthly or for the full 12 months? Is that for all countries excluding the 12 unlimited?

        • $5 per month. Any country not unlimited already. Up to 500 minutes depending on where you want to call. 250 to India for example.

  • +1

I would go Kogan with the $50 off vouchers off eBay unless you need international calling.

    • is it cheaper or better network? Thanks

      • Same network / cheaper / more data. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/359466 You can get a $50 voucher for kogan from ebay for around $10 so 6GB plan comes to about $170 for 365 days, thats 5 more days than Lebara too.

    • Any difference with Kogan policy wise for example if you go over data or international calls what happens also are they same price etc for some special numbers and mobiles etc.. Just trying to find out or see every single difference between the two because I am leaning towards Kogan unless Lebara has some edge or other.

      • +1

Lebara and Kogan are very similar. The main difference being the international calls included with Lebara. With either when you are out of data or International credit (Lebara) your access to those features will stop. With Lebara however you have access to main balance if you choose. So if you add main balance you can go onto PAYG until your next 30 day allowance renews. Both companies have packs you can buy to provide more data or international calls. International rates will be very different. Everything else is pretty much included. Your call on international really.

        • Hmm that's good very interesting thanks for the very detailed and great useful information.

  • I have a series of $29 starter packs - can these still be stacked onto 1 sim?

    • yes it can. There is a limit for stacked plans though. If you can PM your mobile number I can have a look. Thanks :)

    • +1

correction "you actually cannot stack 29.90 starter packs to one sim" Sorry I misread it earlier.

      • +3

I have a handful of Coal. Can you make it into a Diamond 💎

  • @OP: Is there a plan similar to this that will allow me to call countries in South East Asia (esp Vietnam)
Dont need unlimited but something with 100min/mth would work..plus all the advantages of domestic that this plan has.

    TIA

    • +2

With this exact plan you'll get 55 minutes to Vietnam from the included $5. Now stick with me for this bit… If you add one of our calling packs for $5 you actually get $6 credit. So for $21.58 you'll get 121 minutes to Vietnam plus 5GB data and Unlimited Oz calls. And you only need to buy a pack in the month's you talk more.

  • decent price, oz pricing is getting better and better these days.

  • +1

Can you port your existing number?

    • Sure, just select to do so when prompted during online activation.

  • Hi OP, just wondering does this plan offer international roaming? and do you charge extra for call divert (to another Australian mobile number)?
    Thanks

    • Their website states that they do not currently offer international roaming

  • Yes you can. I did it recently with this same plan that was offered last week.

  • How many years can we have stacked?

    • With no other plans you will get two. There's a max of 24 30 day plans (or 4 x 180day, 2 x 360day) so if you already have an active plan you'll only get one. If you have any issues contact Customer Service.

  • Vodafone network sucks

    • I'm on Vodafone for almost a year now, so far so good and value for money on Kogan 365days

      • +2

Ditto. People are quoting network performance from 5 years ago. Perception always lags reality.

  • +2

Time for AldiMobile to buck up their deals.

  • +1

"Family and friends" offering for India just doesn't work. Indians try to keep in touch with many families and friends and not just 3. It's just not Indian culture though this could work well with some other cultures.

Absolutely wrong fitting of the offer with the culture considering that Indians make a large customer base for international calls offerings.

    • no viber/imo/messenger/whatsapp/skype for ya? viber has pretty good outgoing packages as well.

      • Whatsapp doesn't have paid calling to mobiles/landline phones (which works without internet connection). Skype is good but still not as smooth experience as the intl calls made using carrier itself, plus its performance depends on internet signals too. I don't know if Viber has paid calls like Skype.

        • yes, Viber has paid calls, has had it for a long time. there are other apps as well such as Rebel tel

  • Only thing missing on these plans is roll-over data.

  • I too bought 2 180 day plans last week. But not activated. Can I stack them so it is 360 days.I was told I don't need a SIM card to port my number over. I am thinking of getting this for my wife

    • If you are porting from another provider you'll need a SIM for sure. You can pick one up from Coles or Woolies and many small retailers. Or get one online from Lebara.com.au You can use the two PIN'S right away and they will stack.

  • Op, any chance of getting the 15GB plan for $119, same as last week. Cheers!

  • If I call Vietnam, what rate am I charged at? cant find the plan details on http://www.lebara.com.au/rates

    • +1

      $0.09 per minute

its on your linked website but just not for this plan, I assume the rate will be the same since its the same for all the plans shown in the linked site.

    • +1

Poster below is right. You've given me something to do on Monday. Looks like the plan names on the rates table have reverted to the past names we used. Medium was previously called National. You'll get 55 minutes from included credit.

  • I bought this same plan last year, in May ( which means I still have 3 months left). If I buy it and apply the voucher now, would it start to count immediately or only in 3 months, when my current plan expires?

    • You'll get 15 months. Feel free to buy and use the PIN immediately. It needs to be done within 60 days of purchase or it will be inactive.

  • Hey OP, can I assume Vodafone customers will have priority over the service in a congested area such as the CNY fireworks in Sydney? Tonight one of my friend was trying to access google at the same time as me, but his loads while my will not. We have the same phone model, if that matters.

    Cheers

    • I can't tell you why this happened but I can tell you it is not a priority thing for Lebara / Vodafone (or Kogan for that matter). The network doesn't differentiate between any of the brands that use the it. You have exactly the same coverage and speed. VOLTE, being the only difference (which doesn't impact your example).

  • Any possibility of having unlimited calls to India similar to lyca or amaysim ?

  • +1

Can you please do a deal on the large plan?

    • Yes iam interested in the large plan too.

    • +2

Stay tuned, we aim to please.

      • but what if we wait and miss out on Medium in the interim :(( ?

  • i am thinking of porting over from amaysim. To confirm, if I buy two of these, they automatically get applied for 24 months and I don't have to do anything?

Only limitation is I feel at some stage in next year there would be better or same deal which will have unlimited calls to India.

    • That's right, two would stack for 24. I'm not saying that it is happening but theoretically if India becomes unlimited then people already on the plan would get unlimited also. The people that got long term deals on Ozbargain before we went unlimited will be able to testify to this.

      • That sounds fair.

Just curious, in terms of international credits. How many minutes is roughly $5 to Indian mobiles? Also, is there also connection flag fall per call or that used to be something done in the past.

        • No flagfall. 250 minutes to any standard Indian landline or mobile plus unlimited to 3 registered Indian numbers.

  • Would get it if the Philippines was included in the countries.

  • in international calling …India is unlimited free?
what it registered family and friends in india ?

    • You can choose 3 numbers to be unlimited. Other Indian numbers will use the included credit.

  • Waiting for amaysim deal … unlimited India calling and is usually around $10pm

    • Sounds implausible. Good luck if you can get it.

      • Yeah. $10 is bit implausible. I think $15-$16 with unlimited is not that far. It's just odd why Lebara has exclusion for India and kkjkkkkkkkuk give 3 mobile numbers.

  • Sorry for the noob question but if I bring my existing Vodafone number across do I still need to purchase a Sim?

    • Yes all the Vodafone MVNO's have different SIM's. The good thing is that they'll all work in a Vodafone locked handset though. You can pick up a SIM at Woolies or Coles or buy one from Lebara.com.au

      • Ok so buy a sim today from Coles and this deal and I’m sorted?

  • vodafail, people never learn

  • Hi OP, just signed the wife up, thanks. (Lotsa family in USA). Is there a Lebara app for checking data usage?

    • No app yet sorry. You can check via lebara.com.au/mylebara

  • +1

I called Lebara contact number to see if I can get recharge code emailed to me.

Recorded message said "welcome to Kogan mobile."

Are these company's actually the same?

    • Ummm. This should not have happened at all. Definitely not the same company but the IT systems used are often the same. If you called a short code number from a Kogan Mobile this could have happened. Please PM me with details of your call and I will get it looked into.

FYI Kogan and Lebara each have their own call centres.

  • Any feedback on Lebara Coverage? I read some reviews its not too promising.

    • Lebara uses the Vodafone network, as the OP stated in the description. You'll need to see whether Vodafone coverage suits you.

  • I have xiaomi mi5s ( just bought to replace lumia windows phone ) without B28 , is Vodafone use B28 ? Thanks

    • For 4G Vodafone uses:
      • 2100MHz
      • 1800MHz
      • 850MHz

  • Can I port to Lebara after I have activated the service?
    Thanks

    • No.

    • Please PM your mobile number. As below the answer is no but we can help set you up with a new SIM and bring your number and current plan over.

  • What can the $5 credit be used for? I tried sending a MMS to new zealand but it was rejected

    • $5 is used for international calling only at this stage. Stay tuned for more

  • +1

Any chance this offer is coming back again in the near future? I missed out unfortunately and my current plan expires in 2 months.

    • Cannot say anything at this stage however please stay tuned as we may have some in next 2 months time. Thank you.

      • Thanks a lot. Will keep an eye.
