Selwyn Snow Resort is having a 24 Hour Ticket Blitz sale of day lift tickets for $39 each this Friday 16 February. No blackout dates, no restrictions on use, no limit on purchase - valid for the 2018 snow season (normally from mid June - early October). Must be booked via their website.
I believe that last season day lift tickets were $90 for adults (18+) and $50 for children (5-17) in the peak season.
Good opportunity to try skiing or snowboarding for a lot cheaper than Perisher or Thredbo, but note that the resort is a bit lower in elevation than the bigger resorts and is smaller with only 9 lifts.
My 10 year old is a confident skiier but had a couple of days trying snowboarding late last season (we had season tickets at Perisher the last couple of years but are having a year off), so will likely buy a few passes do a few days there, as she is just learning.
I believe the tickets will be on sale via their shop here, but they'll probably update their main web page with a link on Friday. Tickets now available via main deal link
I'm not sure of the costs for ski/snowboard hire (no info on 2018 prices on their website) which you'll also need to factor in if you don't own equipment.
What if it doesn't snow this year due to global warming?
Will they issue refunds?
