      I would make sushi every day if it wasn't for the arduous and painful process of making sushi rice

      • ??

        Buy sushi rice

        Cook sushi rice

        Pour in heated/stirred vinegar/sugar and stir

        Cool sushi rice

        Make sushi

        • +1

          Which is longer than Buy sushi rice, and cook sushi rice.

          I just use jasmine rice. I love the flavour

        • Maybe i'm an idiot but the last time I tried it took like 30 minutes for the rice to cool down. And I didn't cook it properly (did it in a rice cooker).

        • @phosphoresce: I use a rice cooker, quick cook setting. Have made a few batches this year using kangaroo meat!

          I can make uo the equivalent of $50-60 sushi, 20 rolls, or 10 servings, for about $10

          @Tony76:

          Negged for saying I use jasmine rice? You lot are wierdos.

          @Tony76:

          Incorrect, or different?

      • easy kd you have a rice cooker, and cheap if you use caloose when on special at coles or woollies …… buy some canned tuna when on special and kids lunches rensorted ….

    just woke up from a nap, bit groggy, power read the title as "sunshine making kit". thought hmm, that sounds interesting

  • -1

    Was ordering just now why!!!!!

  • Just buy a sushi mat and cover with a sheet of oven bake paper
    .. much easier

    • +1

      What if I don't like the flavour of oven bake paper?

      • dont eat it then ?

  • It’s a simple easy, safe kits to use for kids and clean . I just use bamboo Matt wrapped in cling double wrap (to stop rice from getting sticky to bamboo Matt ) to roll sushi . And cut manually without guidance which require very sharp knife to have a clean cut . I could see that This kits will help to “tidy up” your sushi making

  • Kogan and sushi? What next?

  • Sushi is very easy to make, all you need is a mat but I have made sushi without one too, it's not hard. Make sure you use short grain rice.
